Maybe they raised their game against their biggest rivals?A bit like Rangers did against Celtic the other day,and then seem to lose or draw the other games. |

Book somewhere at one of the online parking sites is probably best.Or a pub that allows away fans. Just park have spaces at Homebase Leicester for £7 from 11am till 4pm.That’s a 15 minute walk to the ground. There are some for £6 but I’m not sure where they are. [Post edited 5 Jan 17:56]

The chippy in Houghton Bay was a strange one. They had fish in batter that I’d never heard of before.Still tasty though. |

Far too many games moved for sky tv.Especially bad for 12.30 ko’s.Is it 6 or 7 12.30’s so far?Blackburn and Plymouth away were both moved without any thought for us fans who go to games. |

It’s bound to be one of Sky’s picks for that weekend.Who knows when it will be played. |

Definitely agree about Bondi beach. We walked across it and kept expecting it to get better but it didn’t.It helps if you’re into surfing I guess. I stayed at Houghton Bay for the 2nd test at the Basin Reserve in 2023,and I had a quick swim while I was there, and the water was bloody cold, but it was a stunning place to stay. |

The sky tower in Auckland is worth a trip to the viewing bit,but I’m not sure about the bungee jump from the top.I only managed to make the north island on my only trip so far,but eat a lot of pizzas and take loads of money. Its about the only place I know where pizzas are cheaper than McDonalds. You’ll have a great time wherever you go and whatever you do. |

I played on our pitch in a charity match for Paddington post office just before it was dug up and replaced with grass, and it was a horrible surface to play on,especially for a goalie like me.Just outside the penalty area at the loft end there was a strip that had been repaired and it was lower than the rest of the surrounding omniturf. It didn’t help me to have about 14 players on each side just to give everyone a game.No linesmen and about 12 attackers in the box for every corner.I think it ended up as a cricket score. It was the morning after QPR drew with Newcastle 1-1,and the cleaners were in.I lost count of the amount of cans and bottles they cleared from the Geordies end. |

The Preston fans were moaning about paying only £5 more for a 3pm Saturday ko at our place. |

What do the Plymouth box office know eh? |

Andre Gray has left Plymouth this morning as the pasties weren’t as good as he was expecting.Unless they’ve got more strikers in the club, they might not score enough to outweigh the goals they concede. |

I heard a rumour on fb that they’ll be on sale on Monday and they’ll be e-tickets,which will save the hassle of posting them out so late. I just phoned the Plymouth box office and they say that they’ll probably be paper tickets,so hopefully Royal Mail will get their a@ses in gear and deliver them in time as a few of us will have to leave on the Friday. I can vouch for loftboy’s experience of today’s deluge as I was standing in front of him.I had a big puffer coat on that was soaked by ht.It was the coldest I’ve felt at a match for years. It’s my own fault really as a mate offered me two tickets in the South Africa rd stand in place of mine but I turned him down as I didn’t think it would rain as much it did. At least we won. |

I think a lot of the turnaround in our season has been because of the backing that Marti and the team got from the fans in the 2nd half of the Stoke game in late November when things were looking pretty bleak. Maybe it inspired the team to realise that Marti still had our support? |

Although 1 in 2 will get cancer in their lifetime, not all will die as a result of it.It would be more revealing to discover the mortality rate of those 50% who get it who go on to die from it. A lot of cancers are treatable if caught early enough. |

You’d think that now they’ve got a few bob they’d move the ground over a bit just so that they be in SW3 rather than SW6.Walham Green w@nkers. |

It wasn’t any better watching it live mate, but at they could hear us shouting at them to stop p@ssing around with it at the back.If I had any hair that hadn’t already turned grey,it certainly would’ve done by ft. I even managed to break the seat in front of me ,but that was by me standing on it celebrating our goal. They’ve either got weak plastic seats up there or it’s time to go back to slimming world again. |
