Yep! Phone and internet out here in Carmarthenshire. Lots of trees down. Followed the match leaning into the window to catch scraps of 4G! Where abouts in Cymru do you live RsinWales? Ble wyt ti'n byw yn Nghymru? |

The thing is that it doesn't matter if we're rubbish. If we finish 1 GD above the relegation zone this season that's job done. And a goalkeeper who stops shots and, dare I say it, a striker who scores goals, will win enough games where the stats say we were worse for us to do that.. it's not glorious but it is survival. It's like running away from a bear isn't it? You don't need to be faster than the bear only than the other people you're with |

Well, fair play, I wasn't expecting that. What a joy. I was working last night and couldn't get to Cardiff - second win in a row I've missed at one of my nearest grounds! Great for Celar, great for the whole team. Especially pleased for the Rs who went last night - I bet that was a bit nippy! Only adrift by 2 points now! Come on U RRs |

I feel like it would be fantastic for QPR to be a basic championship team for a few seasons. In fact that basic ability to win some, draw some and lose some without the wheels coming off or finding out that the club is a clown car being driven by a clown would be all I'd ask for a good long while. After all the optimism of Marti's rescue job last season, this season is so peak QPR again. I really feel for all the regular match goers. Of course football fans should hope for big things, but hoping for small ordinary basic things is a good place to start. |

Why on Earth would getting rid of Cifuentes be any sort of solution? The man hasn't suddenly lost his talent, forgotten his skills. We've all known for a long time that QPR's problems aren't solved by swapping managers. If we're League 1bound I'd say Cifuentes will get us back up - as likely as anyone. |

I'm such a f*cking glory hound, took my youngest boy to the Liberty today from our hideout in the west of Wales. Great atmosphere amongst the Rs fans, and a good match, I thought. Great to have the chance to see the team and the coach responsible for this amazing Rs resurrection. Some Swansea ejits outside at the end. I hope if anybody got hurt it was them. Otherwise, have to say, never seen or had any trouble at the Liberty over the years. Fair play to all the Rs who made it to Swansea today, it was road and rail chaos today. The roar was amazing to hear and be part of. |

My attempt at a trial separation from thinking about QPR has been a qualified success. The problem is that a trial separation means I keep getting stories on my newsfeeds and seeing things on the couple of social media I use, keeping looking at the QPR garden gnome on my kitchen windowsill, and keep thinking about coming to London to go to a game with my lad, and so on. So, it's got to be complete. Stopping following all accounts, kicking off everything that might bring QPR onto my news feeds. Just been onto the bank and stopped my QPR+ payment... unfollowed LFW on X. The gnome and my scarves are going somewhere dark and forgotten. I wanted to come and say goodbye to you all because this site has been - what a thing to say about a web forum - an important part of my life for years. There are so many fascinating and bright people on here, and the non-football discussions have been great. Anyway, done for now. Maybe for good. I don't know how so many of you who spend more money and emotional energy on QPR carry on. After 50 years, I'm finished. Got to add yet another nod to Clive's writing, of course. The best football writing ever. Sorry/happy I was always too broke and never subscribed to the Patreon. [Post edited 25 Oct 2023 8:58]

Haverfordwest County vs Newtown. County seem pretty competitive tbh, shame the WPL is so utterly dominated by a couple of full-time teams. |
| Forum Reply | Are we all a bit reassured? at 16:43 3 Sep 2023
I appreciate that if ifs were £20 notes we'd all be rich, but it's pretty amazing to think that if we'd got draws against Ipswich and Southampton, neither result would have flattered us, we'd be in 9th. I think we have to be reassured, if only to the extent that we are now looking competitive. I don't buy the "well Begovic had a good game, so don't take too much heart from that" argument. Shot stopping is the man's job, he's done it at the highest level, and now he seems capable of doing it for us. Most teams that do okay have a good goalie. |

Odd that the extended highlights are on Youtube before the offy. Also, odd highlights from a game with so many shots and saves. Loads of time just watching Middlesbrough kick it about in midfield. |

Surely we are the underest of the underdogs. Even most of us made us favourites to get relegated with no points. And yet, there's life in us yet. You're right, it is exciting... there might be some despair between now and next May, a bitter sauce for the hope and excitement. |

Well bloody done us!! Come on U RRs! That'll do the belief some good. Sounds like Begovic played a blinder. Fingers crossed Cook's groin was just a tweak. |
