| News Comment | Hughes’ axe brings overdue end to QPR’s era of mismanagement at 20:33:20
Clive. I am a new QPR fan (also an American) Rrrrs fan this year after a long (30 year) absence, but that's another story Anyway, I read your match reports (and previews) every week and using your data, I put together a table of how Hughes ran the team-who started, subbed, was not selected since he took over in January. I can email to you if you want to see it Some observations: Although he did not make an appearance after the Blackburn game, Gabbidon was in the team every week. Now that he's gone, we need a reliable backup CB. SWP Was in the team in each of the 20 matches, but -aside from the City game- has has been a sub since the Bolton (A) game. Does he play the same role next year. Seems expensive for a sub. The use of TOmmy Smith was spotty at best. He appreared in 8 of the first 9 games Hughes managed, but in just 3 of the final 11 Young: Heavily featured until Taiwoo/Unuoha showed up (Villa/WOlves) Then got injured, started will Hill was Injured (Liv and Sund) , and didnt make another appearance after that. Traore: ACN, then either started or appeared in the six games (WOlves though Liv) then got hurt, and was back in the team from WBA on THanks for all you do at LoftforWords Regards John |
