As an aside, I never saw Chinaglia play for us or at least don’t remember if I did, but I used to play against him and train with him quite regularly when he was with the New York Cosmos late 70’s early 80’s. I was working in the Bahamas at the time and the Cosmos used to come to Grand Bahama for about 3-4 weeks pre season or winter training every year and they used to train on the playing fields owned by the company I used to work for. They would play against anyone who had a half decent side. The Bahamians loved it. My works team used to train with them regularly. Being from Swansea I became quite friendly with Georgio at the time. I can attest to the fact that he was very proud of his Welsh roots and believe it or not with his history, very proud of having played for the Swans. Not bad considering he was a Cardiff boy and we gave him a free transfer to get him off our books. |

This x 10 It's not like we were outclassed by a second rate team punching above their weight, it was the champions in desperate need of a win and as you say, playing their A game. All this pointing fingers gets right up my nose. It's not like they weren't giving it their all, sometimes you get out classed and out played. |

Went to see Atomic Rooster at the Gwyn, one of my first gigs. I thought it had burnt down, Didn't realise they'd managed to renovate it. |

If you can’t take joy from watching the Swans hold the most expensive team of champions to 2 goals to 1 in their own back yard and almost take what would have been a pretty well deserved point, you most definitely are not a true fan of Swansea city. You might “follow” them, you might even go to watch them with maybe even a ST but Jack Bastard you are not. Hope you enjoyed your second teams win. |

I don’t know how your expectations of our team can be so high that when we held the champions to 2 to 1 on their turf and almost nicked a point is quite frankly amazing. Very exciting game. Proud to be a Jack today, as I am on all days. A big well done to the team and management. As one poster has already said, no shame there. |

Great OP. I thought the team as a whole showed grit and determination. I loved the look on our players faces when there were close ups being shown, it showed players who were passionate and driven under the constant pressure of a team who set out to frustrate our game(nothing wrong with those tactics) What I saw was a fast paced quite exciting game that even with Angels second yellow had me glued to the screen until the final whistle. Disappointed we didn’t snatch a winner but pleased for the away point with a clean sheet. There is no God given right to beat any team in the PL. We might expect to win games against certain teams, I expected us to win yesterday by a good couple of goals, but if every team beat every team they were expected to it would be pretty boring and we might as well just hand Chelsea the crown today. Believe it or not 0-0 games like yesterday are just as exciting in their own way as a 3-0 win. What does frustrate is when teams who set out to frustrate get away without being penalised as much as us and the last 2 games are good examples of this. Bring on the Barcodes, I can’t wait. |

No disgrace loosing up there by 2 goals. Other teams will go there and fare far worse than this. Maybe if Costa had been seen giving Siggy an elbow in the face things might have been different. You can’t say it was because Leon is injured, when a team with as much bought talent as Chelsea turn it on, very few teams can withstand the pressure. I for one am proud of the team. Southampton home next. Bring it on. COYS |

This is probably my first negative post I have made on PS, but posters like you make me sick. You try to say your positive posts counter balance your “negative sh it” You can’t even be happy for the Swans when we are 1 up at the Bridge against mega rich Chelsea. Do PS a favour and stay on the other Swansea site like you said you would. Just fek off and do one. You turn my stomach. Call yourself a Swansea Fan. You’re having a laugh. |

Anybody know of any pubs showing the game in the centre of town or towards Sketty way? Cheers. COYS |

City are lucky to go in at half time a goal up, at times they are running around like headless chickens. Liverpool are far more confident on the ball, they are bossing city all over the pitch. Come on City. Fuk the draw, in the long run, neither of these teams are our rivals. I want to see Liverpool coming off with zero points. |

Once again, quite amazing Simon. The one of Gomis for me is one of your best. You say Nathan was your first, so you have come full circle. Apologies if you have already posted it Simon but I didn’t see your earlier sketch of Nathan and would love to see it, so any chance of posting it? |

It’s not too often that I understand a whole post from you Perchy to agree or disagree with you, but you are spot on with this post. A couple of times yesterday I thought that Burnley had equalised only to find Fabianski had not only saved the shot but had the ball safely held firm in his hands. He saved our three points yesterday, a great improvement to our defence, giving the back four confidence to do their jobs. |

Well that team of Championship players almost put us to the cosh this afternoon, it was only due to good defensive work, good goal keeping and dare I say it, a good bit of luck that left us with 3 points. |

I thought they were a great addition, especially seeing the teams and bench players as I can never hear what they are saying on the PA system. Big thumbs up from me. |

One that I loved was in our first season in the premier league. I was working with quite a few scummers near Measteg and one of them had the Echo on his desk and the big headline on the back page was “Premier League team in all but the name” , they weretrying to big themselves up as they just couldn’t stand it that them JB’s down the road were Wales first PL team. I was literally crying after reading it. Agent tans doing a Simon Cowel was pretty good too, especially the doctored version on here :) |
