Regarding the Dunk sending off/ Ale's reaction for me definitely deserved a straight red. Yes Ale reacted but did not raise a hand and only succeeded in being swatted away by the aggressive Dunk. IMO a yellow card for Ale was harsh to say the least.
Anyway great performance, let's hope there's more to come. Question marks re. Sandro / Fed and where their future lies. Did anyone feel JFH removing The Beast straight after the first goal spoke volumes??

I have only watched snippets of the game since getting home to Ireland.A proud man who stood in section 105 (for the most part) with my adult son who finally knows what I have been obsessed with for almost 40 years and why I have nurtured that obsession.
Reading your report was always going to be a treat ( lets face it Clive, you are a God) and a sit down to watch it all in its Sky Sports entirity will be awesome beyond compare.

Sounds about right Clive. Felt that Clint was a lucky boy to escape the elbow and what he was at for the throw-in near the end??? Not his best night as you said. Dunne should be left off for the 2nd leg. Get Clint in beside The Chief and fill the left berth with a more attacking option.
We really are poor in the air and have been all season so I dont see an answer for that.
Ravel looked pretty annoyed when subbed, was that frustration at his performance or was he a victim of how we were set up-i`m not sure.
Anyway we got what we (Harry) wanted. Lets hope we dont have the bad start we have been prone to. Get at them, full racous crowd behind us and kill them off before half time..... (please and thanks God!!) |

Really worried about our performances of late. Solid at the back yeah, game-plan and our format requiring a lot of attention. Happy for Charlie to get the 1st league goal, he works all the time and as you said would be well capable of a lone striker roll. Zamora truely awful. Is this injury / impending surgery a myth?? Harry needs to sort it. Hoilett too is a worry ,looks like we will be having more physio`s table time than playing time this season. Joey got lucky but if you weigh it up against the refs who cant wait to book him then his time on the pitch IMO remains invaluable to us. Some of his passing was awful but he cotinued to be a presence for us. Cut out the Hollywood ball Joey ffs!! |

I didn`t see the Zamora article and I am not convinced he is a lost cause (after all we already have enough of them)so have to believe the replacement will get goals out of him.

Kolarov got away with murder and a red was most definately missed. No wonder MH was so upset. For me Ferdinand is a worry. A good defender should not come off worse in those situations (Onouhoa to a similar degree). When you are going to be first to the ball -which they both clearly were, then a`la "psycho" clear ball and man in that order. Rio is on borrowed time IMO. |

I can only pray that that silly silly man goes away quietly. Never liked him, never will.
Like another poster I too laughed (a strange laugh, mind you) when the winner went in as it did not detract from the game,our future and the right team received the trophy.
On the last goal, I noted that Kompany had showed up in the box, distracted Taiwo (not Hill) for half a second and ultimately allowed Aguero half a yard which you know the rest.
Enjoy the summer. Euros are beckoning. Will The Boys In Green cause some upsets????? .... you never know :) Meeting up with England would be massive and such a buzz!! |

Sound report Clive, thanks. Thought we did the simple things well. Joey finally understands that he is captain and has taken on the responsibilities (ie bollocking JB). A little disappointed at our lack of penetration on the left flank. Countless times the space was there and no one filled it. Defence played well, Clint is playing exceptionally well for his age/experience and I would love to see him part of QPR into the future.What is it with Anton though. He ambles up in his own inimitible (sp.) way (yuck!) for corners, frees etc. and never challanges when he is there!!
Anyways lets keep it going. 3 more points are achievable at WBA. Keep to whatever plan MH wants and who knows. U R`ssssssss. |
