Didn't go to the game, but remember the shock in school the next day. It was our first year in the league and as young home counties fans had never known of pitch invasions before! The swans fans made an impression in the win let alone if they had lost. |

Group of us out in Kathmandu currently. Thinking about getting the game tonight. Is it worth it. I know there been a lot of talk about the quality. The WiFi in our hotel seems to be ok, certainly for Facebook etc, just wondering what people who have used it would recommend. |

Can't speak for Jack Harris, but I thought it was Brighton also. I think Tallsport were watching the draw and repeating the teams as they came out, they way they spoke made it sound like Brighton at home. Think birghton was tne next team out. |
| Forum Reply | Adebayo Akinfenwa and Alex Samuel at 22:18 24 Aug 2019
He got released by Wimbledon and dropped down to lge 2 with us. I think we are in a good location for him, near London etc, my understanding is the club gives him allowances with training, and let's him follow external business etc. And its paid off. He got himself back into league one, think he turns 37 this season. He's a massive nuisance in the box, watched the third goal from today and he smartly lays the ball of for the assist. Class act off the pitch it seems too. |

I'm not being left out of this one. Alex Samuel previously of the youth team started and Akinfenwa came on as a sub as Wycombe beat Southend 4 3. Nice to get revenge for the 2015 playoff defeat, probably the worst footballing experience of my life. (and I had a season ticket when Brad Bobley was manager here). Both players massively popular at Wycombe, Akinfenwa for obvious reasons, at 36 he still knows how to score, and Samuel is incredibly hardworking. Can't be sure about this season, but last year Yves Ma Kalambay was reserve keeper to add to the ex Swans!! |

The headline I saw just said Police officer dead in Berkshire. My brother is an investigative officer in Newbury and my childhood best mate is in Windsor or Reading. Berkshire is a big place but it does send a shiver of panic when you see the headline. Difficult culture to be a copper in. |

Well I for one am looking forward to it. Got a season ticket this year after two without one. Missed the Hull game for a wedding, got a new seat in the south stand. Feeling optimistic, would love to see some of the less popular players gel and score a good few. |

Thanks all. Had a look at the stuff about the pop-up senory room. It looks great, really good. Am I right inthinking, it's essentially mobile equipment that the club installs into any of the boxes that are free for that particular game? Looks like the sort of thing that would work really well for the lady my wife and I look after. I like the idea of her being able to pop out when she feels like it to watch the game. Impressive stuff. |

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and help. We went down today, the seats were booked in row w that she dound too high. She wanted to leave after about 5 minutes but stayed. Saw a member of staff from college at half time which was good. Second half was more difficult, she brought headphones with her but they didn't drown put the cheers for the chances and the goals. Achieved want we wanted to. She knows now she wont want to come in the season, and I got to see 80+ minutes of a good game. |

Thanks to all for your replies and the helpful advice. I bought the tickets earlier, quiet part of the west stand a bit out of the way so we shall see how things go. I don't really want to comment on wha DYSS said. But I probably will anyway. I saw going back a few years how vocal he was about the sensory room etc and i think that was a good thing. But I don't know what he was trying to achieve by pointing it out on the back of my question in 2019 a few years later. That has been and gone, no point in ill feeling being created just for the sake of it. |
