I think we're certainly seeing the benefit of the big clear out in the dev squad as the likes of Neill, Tarbotton, Hassan, Kennedy all started playing those level of games before they turned 17. Much better than having a bunch of 20/21 year olds blocking the pathway for the more promising youngsters. |

2-1, lovely play and pass from Tarbotton and Coomes does really well cutting onto his right and finishing |

Putman, Neill and Tarbotton for me in the first half. Like Hassan's hold up play too. Swindon's number 10 looks good, they're a danger for sure. |

I like Fraser Neill, great reading of the ball and loves a tackle. Looks ready-made to be a future Cifuentes midfielder |

Sounds like he did alright on loan at Hanwell too. Looks a really good player though and probably the key man today as you say. With Tarbotton and Neill being dev squad regulars, this game could be won in midfield. For an opposition angle, look out for Botten Ameen up front for them. Already scored for the first team this season.....and released by us 18 months ago. [Post edited 12 Dec 19:03]

The thing is, Martin hasn't really had to rely on success to climb up to being a Premier League manager. Its been all about his style. Managed MK Dons with a big budget, had them playing possession football without winning anything. Turned mid-table Swansea into mid-table Swansea but played possession football. Took arguably the leagues strongest side up via the playoffs last season. But plays possession football. Who's to say another set of owners won't fall for appointing him on that basis even higher up? Just because they want the style, they believe its the right way to play. |

On the language bit, I noticed that with both him and Varane. Amazing what a few months in the environment has done for that! |

I say this every week so I might as well say it again this week because its still true, there really is a player there in Varane. I'm sure of it. Came out in the second half and was excellent until he came off. I really like him |
