| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 19:45:46 Once QPR hit the opener they dominated proceedings with good interplay, pace in BOS and mesmerising skills in Ilias Chair the latter of which, came to life in this match and tormented the Swans from start to finish. QPR who have been creating chances but missing them a lot this season have put a new year resolution into practice and started putting them away and now adding worldies to boot with two terrific goals from Wallace to put the game beyond doubt and Scowen to add sumptuous cherry on an already fine looking cake. QPR have now surely dumped those years of miserable early FA Cup exits into the history books where they can be stored in a quiet dark place and forgotten about. Fourth round here we come, please be kind and lets keep this season ticking over nicely. You R's! |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 09:22:37 Away performance of the season for me. Game plan spot on, players selected to do it and executed brilliantly. The only minor complaint is that QPR didn't find the net more then once, they had chances. The last couple of weeks reminds me of that awful run in 2002, find a win to stop the rot somehow and build from there, this now the third three point haul on the spin and you can see the confidence ebbing through the players. I was disappointed at Chery and Polter leaving but as Holloway remarked last night, getting rid of those who don't want to be here has freshened the place up. Those that are willing to work hard are now reaping the rewards. Pavel Wszolek, where have you been all my life? Darnell Furlong, the boy is now a man. Solid in defence and a threat going forward, a revelation this season. Ryan Manning, promising. I hope he continues to grow as a footballer because he certainly looks like a prospect. This is how I imagined a QPR in transition to look like, it's early days and there will undoubtedly be more defeats and setback along the way, but I really hope this momentum continues for the rest of the season. |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 14:52:20 Behind any good defence lies a solid foundation know as a goalkeeper. This position is vital as it gives a defence confidence and ensures communication and concentration at all times. Confidence is the absolute key. Take that away and the defence crumbles. We saw that happen with Green in 2010 on the biggest stage of his career, yesterday the start of his biggest move to date, he again proved that he just simply ain't up to it, nothing against the bloke personally but as a goalkeeper he stinks the place out. I stayed to the bitter end and clapped a team off who put in one of the worst sorry arsed performances I've ever had the misfortune to say money for and it will take me a long time to get over yesterday's pile of turd. They owe this club a game of a lifetime next week. |
