Thread | Todays starting 11 on current form is our best lineup.

Fer and Carroll might feel a touch hard done by but today's starting 11 looks good and would be my choice. Solid and experienced at the back, Roberts and James terrorising defences with pace. Celina with the x factor and Mcbernie being a target up front.
We had to allow Potter to find out about each of the players and how they fit into his system and the chopping and changing certainly upset a few fans but his appointment is a long term plan and we aren't too far off a decent run now he knows about the squad.

I have supported our team through thick and thin and will support everyone who puts on our shirt. I accept errors, bad games and know evert player has their limmitations so I will rarely slate our players but the Clucus saga has really annoyed me. I can't believe Clucus has gone to a relegated team in our new division after one season.
He signs with us in a record deal and has had generally a poor season.
I think he owes us a year to get back up to the premier league for the poor season he has had and to repay the faith the club had with him. The fact that the deal with Burnley didnt go through because of personal terms says a lot about his motivations.
I have no problem with players bettering themselves by making a positive career move or having a relegation clause so they can play at the highest level such as Ash and more recently Feds, Alfie etc but those guys earnt their salaries whilst at the swans and deserved the right to move. Disappointed with you Sam. |

Nice to see some old school numbers. Ollie in 9, feds to 6.
Leons number 7 didnt get retired so big shoes for montero to fill! Still dont like bony in 2 though. |

Real shame he didn't get his chance to test himself at Barnsley with the deal falling through. He may not be prem standard but he needs to be playing higher than the under 23s. He cops a bit on this forum but hopefully for his sake he gets a chance in January as he knows where the goals are. |

I hear a lot of people talking about Mesa being bit of a clown and that's the reason why Clement has been leaving him out. Yes he looks like he should be in a porno rather than MOTD and yes I saw the footage of him dancing on a chair at some pre season event but can anyone of this forum close to the club confirm this.
The fella was in the brink of selection to the national team so I can't see how he has got so far without someone straightening his attitude out if that was the case.

Thread | Need a leader in the middle if the park.

We have more options in the midfield than I can ever remember but we need a cool head and leader in the middle. Unfortunately time is catching up with Leon who used to dictate the game and know when to push forward or batten down the hatches.
All our midfield players something different to offer and do have a role in the team but I'm not sure if there is a standout leader in there.
I also think Clement needs to decide his starting line-up. The players lost their confidence under Bob when he couldn't decide where to play everyone. |

Thread | Are swansea fans the most fortunate supporters in the league?

A friend commented that he would have loved to be a Swansea city or Leicester city supporter. Being a leeds supporter he has endured a terrible 15 years whilst being a Jack for the same time I have seen us climb up from the brink to become an established PL team and claim a trophy on the way. Winning the title is a huge deal for Leicester, so i think he is right(in my time at least). Chelsea and Man U have claimed a lot of silverware in this period but would anyone swap it for what we have achieved?

Was looking forward to see Mesa bossing the midfield when I first read of his transfer. From what I gather he showed enough in preseason but seams to be down the pecking order given match day selections and recent transfers. What do you think his role will be this year? |
