Son of a Gunn ! I imagine a scene lifted from The life (and wife) of Bryan on Saturday evening back at the family house: Why don't you go and tell him you want to be a ‘keeper again? Ex-‘Keeper: I could do that. I could do that I suppose. What I was thinking was I was going to ask him if he could make me a bit lame in one leg during the middle of the week and just the games under lights You know, something beggable, but not leprosy, which is a pain in the ass to be blunt and excuse my French, sir.” |

Good to know, thank you. |

Indeed, I did read the disclaimer and used the word ‘assuming’ when referring to the data being correct. Clearly they are estimates. I generally take what I read with a pinch of salt, especially when looking online, but it's a data product company that sells (a large variety of football) data commercially (hence the CYA disclaimer should someone use it incorrectly), so I doubt that they made the whole thing up. I would also expect that the 'free' data is based on more accurate data that is paid for and supplied to 'professionals,' given the charges they quote. There’s probably a + or - % of tolerance built into each estimated salary they publish unless they have seen every contract, but when you look at the list for context (assuming every data point has a similar tolerance), you would expect that the ranking/order is probably indicative of status, at least when compared to the other players. My initial point was really that I hope there would be some form of extra payment/incentive for Kolli's performance, given that he appears to be underpaid. Perhaps he earns a bit more (or even less) but in relation to other people it appears that he’s probably undervalued and I guess that's possibly a source of the issues we have seen with social media posts from the father. I also thought it would be useful to have some form of view on contact duration going into January, as it’s a question that crops up time and time again. Again, I expect there are some gaps/issues/inaccuracies too but it's a starting point for when the inevitable contract questions start again. Madsen's 5 year contract appears to be somewhat of an exception according to the table and that may help explain why he has started so often. |

It would be good to see Varane, Field and Morgan start together as a three but that would require a change in system and most likely the dropping of Madsen, which may be two decisions, too far for managerial autonomy. |

Let’s hope he gets a win bonus and a goal bonus, whilst they consider a new memorandum of understanding, top secret contract, NDA and prenup. https://capology.com/club/qpr/salaries/ Quite a drop down to his salary as it stands - assuming that this data is correct and quite a few better earners with limited contribution so far this season. They also provide some transparency into contract duration in the table. |

Let’s hope someone has picked up on this and we don’t get ‘Doaked’ again… ● Since the start of November, only Ben Doak (5) has more Championship assists than Norwich's Jack Stacey (4), assisting in each of his last three league games. Indeed, since the start of last season, he's one of only four defenders with more than 10 assists in the competition (11) |

Seems like a reasonably good update for us from Norwich. Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup has been speaking to the media before the Canaries' Championship game against QPR on Saturday (15:00 GMT). Here are some of the key points from Thursday's news conference: Defender Jose Cordoba is back in contention after missing the past three games with a knee injury. He missed wins against Luton and Plymouth. Several players and staff have had to isolate during the week because of a virus causing disruption to the team's preparations. Liam Gibbs will be out for 8-10 weeks after surgery this week. Talks are going on behind the scenes with those senior players who are out of contract in the summer. |

Great report as always, thank you for all time and effort that goes into this each and every week - it is greatly appreciated ! I’ve read many (smiling, nodding, LOLing, empathising etc) and shared the best of them with non QPR fans too, all of whom have appreciated the quality, your humour and stamina at times. Keep it going, Clive. Fist time for me - so be Cheesus, it’s got to be a mature cheddar with the beginnings of crystallization. Looking forward to more comments, debate and discussions with everyone. |
