Swansea spent 7 consecutive years in the top flight. We were an established top flight club and Mr Scudamore used Swansea as an example to other clubs as we were so well run.
Over last 8 years with the previous owners we should have achieved much more than what we have actually done. Williams needs to be given time but he also needs to accept support from around the club as he just doesn't have the experience at this level.
It is a huge shame Coleman and co couldn't take full control when they came in Spring 2023. Levien and Kaplan should have left the moment Coleman walked through the door.
As always this thread is being dragged back to 2015, 2016 and 2017. The original thread is about the great gesture our new owners made this week ahead of the game.
I really wish the anti-Trust/Clement/Cooper/Gyokers posts were kept to one place. The repetition is really making these threads impossible to read at times.
your message is very timely as our new owners were buying drinks for fans in the Mel Nurse before the game today. They have learnt well off Mr Birch and Ryan Reynolds.
Williams has the potential to be a good coach. He needs help and he needs help quickly. Coleman and Gude need to identify a strong number 2 / assistant.
We need to stick with Williams and there is no way the club can afford to change the backroom staff again. The mismangement over the last 8 years is unforgivable.
the appointment of Bob Bradley in 2016 was the alarm bell - so early on for the early ownership. I am amazed Jenkins and co (those left on the board) did not attempt to stop it.
* I expect / been told that Bob is a really good man - he should never have been put in the position in the first place. Bob not to blame - the people who put him there are.
Mr Birch is very well respected in the football industry.
re: Cooper and Gyokeres posts - they are very well off the mark. It is unfair to Steve and others that the same false story is being posted. Please do your research or speak to people close to the loan move in 2021.
