Sunderland blocked every conceivable outlet for us. Grimes was pushed so deep he was playing sweeper. I'm no tactician but it seems their manager did a masterclass on us. I like Luke Williams as a manager. I think he is an excellent man manager which is so important these days with players egos. My only concern is Williams tactical awareness and his ability to adapt and change tactics when required. Would love to see an experienced advisor brought into our coaching staff. Mike Phelan was appointed by Plymouth this week. Someone similar to him in experience but not a dinosaur either.
We currently stand 4 points outside the play offs. If the unthinkable were to happen and we get promoted our season ticket prices would be an absolute bargain for the Premier League. Not bad for the Championship mind you.
The Championship is a funny old league. Win 2 games on the bounce and you move up significantly. There's a long way to go. We as a club are not in a position to criticise attendances particularly mid week matches. Televised matches on Sky are hitting attendances massively. I've spoken to so many season ticket holders who stated they give midweek matches a miss and watch the game on the box. This is a worry.
Vic was the Lee Trundle of his era ( without the tricks). Like Trunds he settled in the area after his playing days and went on to be just as popular a figure off the field as on.
Loved watching Vic's marauding runs down the wing with his chest sticking out. A great character. Shocked to hear of his passing as I think I saw Vic at the Swansea.com in recent weeks. RIP Vic YJB.
When he came off injured sounded bad news. Commentators kept reiterating this. Luke Williams interview indicated he was feeling unwell so hopefully not serious.
I must admit to showing bias to our local players. Always have and always will. Cullen has always given 100% for this club. Yes he may have had a disappointing performance last week playing out of position.
Some of the comments on here are so disrespectful. Cullen is a local lad and always gives 100%. He gave a very good account of himself repsenting Wales 2 weeks ago and seems to be part of Bellamy's plans. His career is now at a crossroads. This new contract is a win win.
Went very well thanks Kieth. Around a dozen turned up as well as the local TV station who did a couple of interviews. Looking forward to Monday and moving things on.
