| News Comment | Allen returns to haunt QPR - History at 16:11:08
"A crucial missed penalty at the Loft End against Chelsea in a 2-1 defeat didn’t do his cause much good, although he had scored the Rangers goal in open play that evening" Not quite! Allen scored in a 2-1 LEAGUE defeat then missed a penalty in a 2-1 FA CUP defeat a few weeks later. Nigel Quashie scored in the FA CUP defeat. |

Does anybody know what has happened to Yun? I know he was injured at the start of the season and played a few games on the wing instead of full back in November. I don't recall hearing of another injury & he recently played for the Under 21's so he must be fit |
| News Comment | New boy Bowles slaughters Cardiff for promotion-bound Rangers - history at 11:17:53
With regards to Richard Langley his full debut with the goal v Barnsley was on the Wednesday after the pathetic defeat to Swindon on the Saturday. 4 days later. "returning to Rangers, now back in the Championship, on deadline day 2005, signing a one-year deal. He played 33 times that season and Rangers finished in the top half" Do you mean the top half of the bottom 4? We came 21st in 05/06 and to quote Marc Bircham we only stayed up as we ran out of games to lose. |
| News Comment | Konchesky reflects harsher side of QPR’s changing times — signing at 14:27:00
Sends a great message out to Cole Kwepka (presuming LB & not CB is his natural position) and come the end up the season we'll have 4 left backs on the wage bill. Jack Robinson has a long term injury so it's unlikely that he'll play this season. Should've read more into Yun's squad number being downgraded from 13 to 22. |

I always thought Marcus Bignot was a shining example of players who gave their all for the cause. It's a shame we never got to give Dezza a proper send off, hopefully we'll play Notts County in a pre season friendly or something. |
| News Comment | McCleary’s rocket helps Reading slay ragged Rangers — report at 10:03:53
That game was very bleak, somewhat reminded me of the Ipswich defeat in 2009. I'm surprised you blame Clint Hill for Pearce's goal and not Green as his positioning/judgement was very poor in my opinion. On current form, I have doubts we'll be able to hang onto a play off spot. |

Good old Bruno. We should arrange a friendly v Notts County to give him & Shaun Derry a good send off. |
| News Comment | Worst Faurlin fears confirmed — diary at 16:16:49
I'm gutted for Faurlin he seemed to be getting back to his best. I still wonder why Redknapp still won't even consider putting Samba Diakite back in the first team squad. |
| News Comment | Typically quiet exit for QPR’s understated Czech at 13:14:43
I have a lot of time for Cerny & wish him well, though I think there is a bit of rose tinted spectacles when looking back on Cerny's career. I think this is due to his impressive performances when he got his unlikely recall during the 11/12 season. He made several high profile mistakes as do ALL g/ks, his impressive clean sheet ratio probably says more about the dull negative football played under Sousa than impressive performances by him. Considering he started the 09/10 season without any serious challengers for his starting spot I don't recall there being any outcry when he was dropped for Carl Ikeme and you could also argue in a similar situation to someone like Vine he was happy just to pick up his wages for the last 2 years. |
| News Comment | The kits are alright at 11:56:38
Nice article, I guess we're all entitled to our own opinions. As the club change the kit every season now I think they're all fairly irrevelant & non memorable as they'll be changed in a year. I agree with others that the hoops are maybe too thick. Do you think the club should adopt a set in stone policy on kits regarding the number of hoops as it seems too many or too few seem a common complaint. Were there ever any complaints about the blueness of the 08/09 kit, I used to get regularly outraged and send complaint emails to the club when we used to unnecessarily wear blue shorts/socks away from home. Apparently the club wanted to introduce blue shorts for the home kit in 96/97 but the fans managed to stop that happening. I also think Red & Black should always be our traditional away colours. I was quite upset during the promotion season when we abondoned the Red & Black for the 2nd half of the season & wore the Celtic kit even against teams like Blackburn & Reading. I also can't believe having won promotion to the Premier League we had to spend most of our pre season wearing the unnecessary Celtic kit with tape over the sponsor. I'm surprised the fans tolerate the unnecessary 3rd kits & the club seem to wear them as often as the away/change kit. The GK top looks just like an outfield kit & not a GK kit at all. Our best GK tops were the exciting designs made by Brooks & Rangers Clubhouse worn by Stejskal & Roberts. They've been pretty bland & boring since. Below is a good source of all our home kits: http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Queens_Park_Rangers/Queens_Park_Rangers.htm |
| News Comment | End of term report — midfielders at 14:03:28
I thought Granero looked a quality addition for his 1st 8 games or so then became dreadful. I do worry there is some QPR curse that extracts the quality out of players. I've also no idea why he seemed to have the monopoly on set pieces as most of his were wasted. |
| News Comment | End of term report - defenders at 08:35:26
Extremely good report there Clive. Have we ever hated any of our own players as much as Bosingwa? The man Hughes claimed could play anywhere across the back 4, the holding role in midfield & will bring a winning mentality to the club. Just what we needed when we were already overloaded with midfielders & defenders. I do wonder what Fernandes was thinking when he sanctioned paying him £60k+ p/w & deemed it appropriate to leave Luke Young & his £40k+ p/w sitting around doing nothing. |
| News Comment | End of term report — Goalkeepers at 12:09:54
I completely agree with Bloberts & I can't understand why Cesar gets hardly any praise. We were able to sign him from Inter as they're going through a process of asset stripping to meet the UEFA Financial Fair Play rules, just like why they sold Wesley Sneijder & Philippe Coutinho. Almost everytime he makes frankly amazing saves all the fans accuse him of "Hollywood/One for the Cameras" saves. Everyone talks about the 1st goal at Villa as if it was a season defying moment - which I don't lay any blame on him and it's not even comparable to any of Green's numerous clangers. As far as I'm concerned he claimed many more crosses than Green & although he can't kick the ball as far he never struggled to deal with back passes. As for Green I wasn't exactly excited when we signed him, he has made several 100% to blame high profile errors with Swansea, Villa & WBA already being mentioned. I'm sure Clive has said in his match reports Green should've done better on other goals like Arsenal, Sunderland and several more to mention. He was particularly unconvincing in a relatively easy cup win v Walsall, got away with a handball away to Norwich and shoot me down for saying this but I blame him & not Boswanka for Newcastle's winner at Loftus Road. I'm also concerned about his presence around the camp as he went off moaning to the press pretty much as soon as he lost his place, was seen laughing on the bench when Vaz Te's DEFLECTION put West Ham 2-0 and didn't join in the celebrations with the rest of the subs & Management when SWP scored v Chelscum |
| News Comment | Still just a potato — full match report at 14:31:28
Thanks for all your reports this season Clive, about the only QPR related thing I look forward to. I'm slightly confused by your "Redknapp, for the second week in a row, removed Mbia at half time. That old theory about repeating the same action and expecting different results sprang to mind. On came Esteban Granero" as the team list says Granero came on for Remy as do all other sources. I know most match reports seem to forget a game was being played & only talk about Carragher. |
