| Forum Reply | Is fan sentiment changing? at 16:01 9 Dec 2024
Fans have cut him a lot of slack because of last season and social media will tell you that RM still has quite a few people backing him. Twitter is full of gimps fawning over him like he's some sort of hero, saying how much they love the bloke and what a great guy he is. It's very odd. I also think there's a sizable proportion of our fan base who just don't give enough of a shit to do anything about it. This season is so depressing, everyone's resigned to the fact we're doomed and nothing's going to change that. Even another dire performance at Villa on Saturday, with the customary defensive howler and 0 shots on target wasn't enough to get the fans there to chant negatively about him. Everyone took their medicine and fvcked off with barely a whimper. Nathan Jones was instantly dislikeable, so it was pretty easy for the fan base to come together as one against him, which forced SR to act pretty quickly and get rid. Until enough people wake up to the complete arrogance of this narcissistic tit and start making their feelings known, nothing will change. |

Potter going to West Ham is a lot more realistic than him coming to us, which is and always was a pipe dream. |

That moment directly after Archer scored at Brighton was exactly what football is all about for match-going fans. The sheer elation and out-pouring of raw emotion after turning the game around gave everyone in our end a joyous feeling that is impossible to replicate. Then it's taken away from you....after nearly 5 minutes of deliberating by some peckers in a studio 150 miles away. Whether any decision VAR makes is technically right or not, to deny fans that moment is scandalous so nothing will ever convince me it's for the good of the game. |

My guess is it’ll be full of a load of Guardian reading #bekind hypocrites, dribbling over how evil Elon Musk is. |
| Forum Reply | Is the suggested Liverpool Cup boycott having an effect ? at 11:54 14 Nov 2024
I'm not going, mainly because I just can't be arsed. In fact, I haven't been to one cup game this season which is a first for me in many a year....I love the cups. I can take losing regularly, I'm well used to it after all, but It's the manner of the defeats....the style of play.....the performances; they're so dull and depressing it completely saps the life out of me. I've only missed Man City away in the league this season and every week I regret the expense and time I put into going more and more. I walked out at Wolves on 55 minutes....I wouldn't have dreamt of doing that in the past. I'd had enough. It's only because it's engrained into me and the fact I'm obsessed with keeping my priority high that makes me stick with it, but I'm starting to think what's the point in that anymore. Modern football, especially the Premier League, is shite. |

Who are my bunch of c()nts? Just coz I don’t like this Labour government and don’t think Trump’s the anti-christ, doesn’t mean I voted Tory. I appreciate you probably find that hard to understand. |

Pretty sure I didn't say you did. |
| Forum Reply | US Election at 10:52 7 Nov 2024
Exactly. It's funny how the people that are wetting themselves about the damage Trump will cause the UK economy are the same people that were praising Reeves's budget, despite that immediately and more directly impacting us. They've now got their scapegoat when our economy tanks I suppose. |

Starmer will take care of that pal. |

Considering the left are such decent, thoughtful and kind people, who love putting the well-being and prosperity of others above themselves, it always amazes me how much they seem to love war. |

The world was fine when Trump was in the White House last time and America was better off. |
| Forum Reply | US Election at 18:19 6 Nov 2024
He’ll put America first, that’s for sure. Maybe 70 million American’s think that’s more important than being endorsed by Taylor Swift. |

The meltdowns in the media and on Twitter have been a thing of absolute beauty today. |

I’m clearly not suggesting that am I? I think it was all w@nk. |

Utter nonsense. If Labour were in power during Covid, the country would be even more fvcked now. I don’t think Starmer could believe how un-Tory like Boris and Rishi were at throwing money at the masses on furlough etc, but he still took the stance that it wasn’t enough. I dread to think what the “black hole” would look like with that bellend dishing the freebies out. The fallout from the covid nonsense is the cause of the mess we’re in now, so raising income tax is exactly what should be done, so everyone shares the burden on the recovery. No Government has the nuts to do that though, so they choose to go after softer and more strategic targets, meaning once again, businesses get bummed. |

Yep, but it’s not before time businesses pay more back into the system apparently . Where’s the money going to come from? Wages; ie redundancies most likely. |
