Yesterday, we lost another of our own. Peter Smith, aka Swiggy, was Dale through and through. He'll have been a very familiar face at matches and an even more familiar face in The Cem and other pubs of Rochdale! He was also an occasional poster on this forum.
He'll be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all that knew him. RIP Swiggy.
"Ten players remain under contract heading into the 2023/24 campaign and in addition, three options have been triggered. However, a number of players who remain under contract have been informed that they have been placed on the transfer list with immediate effect."
"Any player that remains in talks and eventually wishes to stay with the club next season would be expected to take a substantial drop in salary."
I hope it's at least three players on the transfer list.
I wouldn't have gone anywhere near a new contract for Kelly or Keohane, but we may get some value if they're on much lower wages.
Interesting that Red was one of the popular choices in the survey, I think the 'new (half)breed' of two teamers have had an influence on that.
I'm not a fan of the design for 1-3, but quite like the designs for 4-9. I'm leaning towards Yellow so its 5 or 8 for me, with a preference for 8 as its a nod to the glorious chevrons of the mid 90's.
I know the Yellow (and Blue) looks a bit Leeds, but I'd counter that and say the Orange (and Blue) looks Luton.
Good interview, very honest as always. I get the impression that we won’t be making many more permanent signings (hopefully wrong), but will have a few loan players coming in from Premier League clubs.
I think we’re still a couple of full backs/wing backs short (depending on formation), along with a few creative midfielders/attacking midfielders.
I think Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sky Box Sets can now be classified as essentials. Even more sore when the inevitable decision is made to put the country into full lockdown. So, what are people's recommendations...
Sports Documentaries Comedy Action Easy Watching
I've started watching Chicago Fire in the 'Easy Watching' category. It's not exactly 'deep' but it's entertaining enough. That will spin off into Chicago PD no dount, so I'll have a fair stack of episodes to get through.
I'll be getting back into House of Cards and Designated Survivor.
Breaking Bad was superb; anybody who hasn't watched that should give it a go. I couldn't get into The Wire.
