Assuming Bartley is out for months rather than weeks (and lets hope he isn't)... but if he is, we're gonna need another centre back in the squad. We cannot rely purely on VDH, Fernandez and Mawson. Loan signing would be the "highest quality for lowest outlay" option... Mamadou Sakho would fit the bill perfectly IMO. I'm sure there'd be other CB's we could loan from other big clubs as well - is Neven Subotic still available? Kurt Zouma would've been great if he hadn't already gone to Stoke. I'd love to see us grab Ben Gibson on a permanent deal but he won't come cheap and we have other issues requiring our money being spent elsewhere Alternatively, we could recall Amat out of sheer desperation and being tight on the purse strings again. I'm not a fan of this but it is an option. What do you guys think we should do? |

Everything gone very quiet on this front... is the deal off? Wasn't he the man to come in as soon as Siggy was sold? I heard he started the cup game for WBA as well... Seems unusual in a time where clubs more often keep transfer-linked players in the stands rather than playing Have we missed the boat again? (that'd be the 3rd time we've tried and failed to sign him, if we can't get him in) |
| Forum Thread | Kingsley to Hull? at 16:48 21 Aug 2017
Being reported that he is on his way as part of the Clucas deal. Some sources are saying it's also permanent http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/08/21/hull-to-land-stephen-kingsley-as-part-of-sa I've no idea if it's in addition to the rumoured 12m outlay for Clucas or if it means the fee is reduced, but it's an interesting add-on. I don't know why we're always in a need to sell so many goddamn players, especially after the Siggy money coming in. If this is a loan - good move. Gives the lad some playing time. If this is a permanent transfer - I'm very uncertain on it. Would mean we only have Rangel, Naughton and Olsson as our only recognised full backs. Even with someone like Yiadom or Arias coming in that would still leave us short if we got a couple of injuries, and with Rangel due to move on soon you'd think. Maybe it signals more of a move to the 3-5-2? |
| Forum Thread | Signings before Southampton at 12:14 28 Jul 2017
Does anybody realistically think we're likely to get anyone else in before the Southampton game, let alone the rest of the window? If so, who? We don't seem to have concrete links to anybody at the moment - certainly not the repeated speculation we had with Mesa and Abraham before those deals got done I'm worried that our board have shut up shop and think that if we keep Llorente and Siggy everything will be fine. It won't be - we need reinforcements. We haven't really added to our squad at all. Since the end of last season, from the first team it's been 3 out and 3 in - no additions and no significant upgrades (Abraham, Mesa and Bartley for Borja, Cork and Amat) Hope I am proven wrong and the board bring in some players but at the moment, it's not looking good. Are we gonna get anyone? |

Apparently close to signing for Newcastle in a £12 million deal I know people say our wingers need improving - what is this guy like? Worth it or is this another sign the market has gone crazy? |
| Forum Thread | Right Back at 15:26 12 Jul 2017
Just wondering if there's been any right backs linked with us of late? I've noticed the odd link for centre backs (e.g. Badstuber) and left backs (e.g. Moreno) here and there, but are there any solid links for a Right Back as yet? The likes of Bacary Sagna are available on a free but wages would be a sticking point in any deal you would think. Personally I think it's the weakest point of our defence at the moment. Naughton was exposed regularly last year and whilst he improved under Clement, I still don't think he should be our first-choice RB going into 2017/18. Rangel is obviously a loyal servant who'll give his all and a great leader on field, but he is no doubt in decline and should be being transitioned into a coaching role rather than being in the matchday squad every week. So if anyone, who should we be targeting as an upgrade? Or do people feel Naughton is good enough to stay first choice? |

Just announced that Sheffield Wednesday striker Lucas Joao has signed for Blackburn on loan. What does that mean for our Marvellous Marvin? |
| Forum Thread | Three Days Left... at 01:54 29 Jan 2017
What can we expect? Will Taylor go? Will Barrow go? Will Jordan Ayew, Leonardo Ulloa, or any other player(s) come in? It's looking unlikely that we'll get a Centre Back, Right Back, or Defensive Midfielder, but Clement did say that we'd have to wait until very late in the window to get anything more... Three very interesting days ahead |
| Forum Thread | Best Seats at a Football Match - Behind goals or Top Tier? at 15:09 24 Jan 2017
Hi guys, looking at getting tickets to a Bayern Munich game at the Allianz Arena. Just wondering whether - in general - you think it is better to watch a football match from seats in the top tier, or in the very bottom tier (which is a standing area) behind the penalty area? Given that tickets in the mid-tiers are a lot pricier (I'm using resale sites) this isn't an option for me unfortunately, so it's down to the other two options. I would be going solo and this would be my first German football match. I've heard the atmosphere at these games are amazing. Responses would be much appreciated; thanks in advance!! | Forum Thread | Hull v Bournemouth at 16:20 14 Jan 2017
Hull 3-1 up just after the hour, really need Bournemouth to do a job here and fight back. Hull have four very very hard games coming up so this is like a cup final for them to not be cut adrift. Could be three invaluable points for them today, fingers crossed for our sake they don't get them [Post edited 14 Jan 2017 16:21]

Apologies for throwing another player's name out there, BUT... if we are looking for another RB, as apparently we were interested in signing Jenkinson, I would do away with that and much rather make an offer on this guy. Reportedly unhappy in Turkey and open to a move to the UK. Wages may be an issue, but if his head is turned by Hull, surely worth asking the question? Already has mates from the Dutch national team in Narsingh and Fer https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2595501/hull-line-up-gregory-van-der-wie [Post edited 13 Jan 2017 16:38]

Seems to constantly be linked with a move to other relegation rivals, like Palace, Sunderland and Middlesborough 7 goals and 2 assists this season and great from set pieces. I think he would be a fantastic signing for us. Him and Narsingh and all of a sudden our wingers look a hell of a lot better Personally for around 6-7m I would go for it. |

Still without a club which is very very surprising. There must be something else going on behind the scenes? Either way, I'd definitely make an enquiry. [Post edited 11 Jan 2017 14:06]

| Forum Thread | Per Mertesacker at 12:31 11 Jan 2017
Apparently Wenger is looking to loan him out. It's a huge yes from me. Admittedly he is slow but brings great aerial presence, leadership, and a solid unit at the back. Very very good quality player in his day and has achieved a lot during his career. I'm all in for this one. |
| Forum Thread | Under 23's at 21:20 10 Jan 2017
Surely it wouldn't hurt to give a few of them a run in the Prem, even as substitutes? They seem to be absolutely flying at the moment, great win over Wolverhampton tonight. I know McBurnie has started to get a few minutes, but the likes of Byers, Jones and Dan James seem to be on fire of late. Admittedly I have not seen them in action so am going off media reports. I know the standard is a lot lower than the Prem, but we've got some fairly average players on our bench at the moment who aren't doing much at all. We know the U23's will be hungry and eager to impress if given an opportunity. I think it'd be great for their development to give them a crack as well. Plus, if our Prem results keep going downhill I don't see how it would hurt. Thoughts? |

On loan for the rest of the season. Another target gone begging. So, who's next on our list then? [Post edited 10 Jan 2017 15:50]
