“Social media” types attack “ MSM” as being biased but the Sunday Times welcomed the Labour victory. In essence, the polls in the UK and France could herald the beginning belatedly, of an era of common sense. Can such things be ? Hopefully, yes. |

Ha,ha …it's an old music hall song. Seriously, both the French and British electorate have shown a bit of common sense (at last). |

I always wanted a Pallas but never saw one at a price I could afford. I'm just an A to B driver now so I guess that's it sadly. |

Good write up in Der Spiegel saying although Starmer has the charisma of a geography teacher, most of the UK sees the result as redemption and “the clown show” is over. Good paper Der Spiegel. “sprechen sie deutsch ?” My wife said, “ah, oui oui” I said. |

I'm inclined to agree. It may be old age but I remember men like Rab Butler and Antony Crosland were considered to be sagely men of wisdom, paragons of respectability. Fast forward and we've had people like Liz Truss who wouldn't have got a job as a pox doctor's clerk back then. Lammy ? Well, give him a chance. |

Andorra looks a bit wild and woolly. Strangely, my neighbour has just returned from a holiday there. Bloody Bourgeoise git ! Why can't he go to Clacton like the rest of us ? |

Keir will anounce his cabinet later, I wonder who'll be Minister of Arts and Farts ? Is there still a minister of Ag and Fish ? |

It's a shame he's not on a pay-as-you-play contract. |

The decision to adopt the Sky deal was unanimous of course but I imagine the clubs would have confided in one another by zoom or something. It's the death knell of football as we know it. |

A few years back my wife said “darling, look at this typo in the paper”. It said Mr Rees-Mogg Spent The Weekend Shooting Peasants On His Estate. I said “where's the typo ?” |

I agree. I was reading his history on Wiki. He was called to the bar in 1986. Ah, a man after my own heart - I've been called to the bar umpteen times. |

I thought that was a full bodied Spanish red wine, but the squad has arrived for pre-season. No mention of personnel. One name we all know will be missing, but as far as I can tell, no word of Willock and it'll be July 2nd in 15 mins. |
