The comparisons to Barca are ludicrous. Barca's passing is always purposeful, always attacking, always dangerous. Swansea's rarely is. They made more chances 2nd half by being more direct and some superb set piece deliveries. It's actually insulting to Barca to compare them - Barca are a total joy, Swansea are dull. |  |

I said ages ago mosrt of the pretty stuff is played backwards and sideways, once people realise wheere to harry them and when not to they are picked off, as they were tonight, most of their attacking play isn't Barcelona, who actually play far better going forward.
Next season will be very interesting to see how they move on and see how much Rodgers is responsible for there.
So glad we beat them with a cle3an sheet after all the purring from people about them, all that said, if we could learn a bit of the ball control they do use then attack the way we can we'd be very effective in a way they are not. |  | | |

I was perfectly happy for them to play the dull game. From the outset we clearly knew what to do and the longer the back five kept it the more we pressed. They were shown up today by an industrious, deciplined and solid QPR.

It seems like the tactic of having two men bear down on their wide players as soon as they recieve the ball is enough to stifle Swansea. If they could have switched play quickly we could have been in trouble, but they seemed confused by having a coulple of players within a metre or so of them after a second or two and either kicked the ball off a player for a throw in or punted it forward and gave the ball to us.
In the second half they didn't even try those tactics and conceded the ball even more. I don't actually mind Swansea but they need to adjust their game because they have very little else. | | | |
