Just signed for Perth Glory in the Aussie A-League. He’s fallen a long way down the pecking order. Shame it didn’t work out for him at the Rs as although he was always injured you could never fault his attitude. Good luck to him

Poll: Where will we finish up next season?

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Never good enough, showed a few glimpses but that was about it. We wasted a lot of time & effort on him, like a few of them!!!

Amos was quality and scored a few match winning goals for us. Unfortunately his injury problems held him back. That’s just how it goes in football.

Good luck to him, I’m sure he’ll have a great time in Australia. If I was him I’d rather be doing that than playing in a lower league English team in some depressing town with Todd Kane type characters. F**k that!

Oh dear he'll get eaten alive out here. Very very physical league.

More than the 46 game “no cards” Championship?

I hope he likes flies.

Hit a couple of purple patches with us when I really thought he was going to make it, but permanently injured...

Fair play to him for getting a life in Perth, lovely part of the world, bit better than Forest Green or Leek.

Why has it taken him so long to find a club? Has he been injured the whole time?

Was on Hibbs books but hardly got a match.

As much as our midfielders have their individual faults I think it demonstrates the progress the club has made when it’s not long ago he was mostly stinking the place out with us.

Totally overrated by many posters Watford......some wanted the Club to renew his contract. Thankfully they didnt........and quite rightly so.

He had a purple patch IIRC but I’m not sure he was that popular in the real world of football matches rather than online. Could be remembering it wrong.

He was part of the team that had the highest finish since we returned to the Championship. Bit harsh to say he was stinking out the place when you got players like Madsen in the current squad, haha

Port / Storm and Beggers / Choosers situation wasn’t it?

Good opening here for Forever R's Scapegoats.

Karl Ready as opening inductee.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Forever Arse.

I would pay to watch Lumley accept an award for this and then drop it.

Karl Ready wasn't a scapegoat, he was just shite.

The minute we settled for him at centre back after a legacy of Parker, Fenwick, Roeder, Macca, Maddix etc was as bad a decision as not replacing Les and a big part of us going down IMO.

Nice hair though

Harsh comment compared to some of the dross we have had here over the years.

Don't disagree, but someone must have voted him POTY!

Some of comments about Amos here are ridiculous and disrespectful.
As I recall, in the beginning of his second season with us he was by far and away our best player on the pitch. He then suffered yet another knee injury and that was him finished at this level.
I don't think your rubbish if you play for England at every level up to U20.
Injuries robbed him, and us, of seeing his true potential. He never hid when playing for us, unlike some that did, and continue to do (that bloke at Cambridge).

The truth probably lies somewhere in between the extremes on display in this thread. He certainly wasn't rubbish but at the same time definitely nowhere near our best player. Luke was regularly injured so it's difficult to know what his ceiling was and whether he fulfilled his potential. When he was available he was pretty lightweight for a central midfielder, hence the nickname Luke AnonAmos. IMHO he was better pushed slightly forward where he could avoid the central midfield battle and contribute with the odd goal. Ultimately, I wasn't altogether surprised to see drop down the pyramid. Nonetheless, his attitude couldn't be faulted so I wish him well in the Aussie A-League.
