It was a kiss on the lips. Now forget consent but does this constitute in isolation, sexual harassment?
To me, it’s no more than an over celebration and pride that Spain’s women justifiably won the competition. No more than that.
Which makes me believe there is more history to this than we are aware of. But if so, why hasn’t it come out?

Must admit I didn't think that the kiss aspect would lead to a conviction, but thought LR might get hit hard for the coercion charge. In the event he was found not guilty of that 2nd potentially more serious offense. It looks as though the court did not put much weight on the lip reading evidence that he asked permission, and instead went with Jenni's story that she did not hear what he said with so much crowd noise and did not consent. It wasn't the rank by the time I went there, Jumpin jacks, Time and Envy, Oceania but yes, there was a fair amount of female on male action that would be considered some kind of abuse today.

I look at it from the perspective of would I expect my daughter to accept a kiss on the lips from her boss , against her will and unnecessary , my actions later would not be limited to a paltry fine and a slap on the wrists .

This is the problem with being of a certain age. 30-40 years ago he'd have gotten a slap, been put on his ass, sat down and the police would have said he deserved it and there's nothing to see here.
He deserved to lose his job, to be publicly shamed and left to rot in his own shame.
The problem with today is, being an utter dickhead in public doesn't sem to stop people from returning to top jobs. I'm thinking Mandelsohn here mostly as the example.
