Harry Darling 10:10 - Jan 28 with 1938 views | Landore_Jack | Sheffield United are reportedly ready to make a move for Swansea City defender Harry Darling before the end of the window. According to the Sheffield Star, the centre-back is currently on the club's list of targets this winter, with the Blades eager to add some more defensive depth to their squad heading into the second half of the season. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/sheffield-united-targ

Agreed but we won’t scrape through at this rate. We can only rely on three other clubs doing worse than us and it being a low points total to survive. I’m genuinely not hopeful sadly.

The stars are not committed. If the leader Williams does not believe in the project and looking after himself (WBA) dalliance why should Darling and Grimes commit.? These departures do not matter much as long as r the recruitment is strong. It is a concern that Watson has not been replaced though. Hopefully Hodge knows the best onions out there. Get in Low Galbraith and the kid Danns from Liverpool or similar.

Losing that £100 on the horses Saturday doesn’t matter so long as I win the lottery next week. I don’t mean to be facetious Res because I agree with you but my faith in the club replacing with better is not high and not helped by the fact that LW is still here (or there because I’m in Wiltshire at the moment🙄😁).

The Melker Widdel lad looks quality. If selling Grimes and Darling buys us Low, Widdel and Galbraith and maybe even the lad from Chippenham, then that is not bad business at all.

Huge ifs Nobody should care who we sell as long as we replace with equal or better. I’m just having a hard time believing Coleman can do that. With either of them, let alone both. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Agreed. Birmingham in the hunt after the Sheffield interest. Some posters believe Darling will sit tight. Coleman should help him on his way and tell him he is " done" at Swansea Close on £2m quoted. That will do nicely. I do not believe Darling will sit tight. He wants to play and improve. Sheff utd will be PL next season probably. Birmingham in on the up. He cannot let these offer slip. If Sheff Utd make a concrete offer then he would be a fool not to take it. They should go up and the chance to play in the Prem might not come again
Harry Darling on 13:27 - Jan 28 with 1224 views | RhonddaSwans | England manager said he isn’t against calling up championship players. Darling stands out at a team higher up the pecking order. Gets an England call. He could end up on huge wages Harry would thrive with better players around him. I think we should cash in if he isn’t going to sign

Because for what ever reason we haven’t tied this up before now, the ball is entirely in Darling’s court. Questions need to be answered, lots of them actually.

If we were seriously after Galbraith then why didn’t we use Abdullai as part of the deal?

If this window is any representation of how the Club's planning for the future then god help us.

I’m often asked who I’d choice Like this Over December I’d have earmarked who I wanted and didn’t. Then devise a strategy for obtaining them. I’d be looking to buy and sell from Jan 1st Leaving it late is for idiots I trestle my case

Swansea do not want to be overstocked with players and seem to be well down their outgoings work with plenty out on loan 6-7 and Grimes and hopefully Darling on their way for around £6m and freeing up around £40 km a week salary (£2m per year). This provides wriggle room to spend and direct some to cut loses. Grimes was not performing to his capacity and Darling was leaving anyway. Ginnelly Govea and Parker re back in the mix.
