Swindon have found another gear in the second half and they deserved a goal. The game's very much in the balance.

Is it the crazy camera work or is this game being played at a ripping pace?

The comms have just mentioned him but Adjetey-Brew has improved from a slow start. Good decision making throughout.

I know U18 results this season have been poor. However, if I am correct, some of tonight's side have played for the DS more than U18s. Let's hope they build on this.

Morrissey and Furlong did say that, and I think it's true this year.

Furlong said that in all his time as a coach here (13 or 14 years, I think he said) he'd never seen so many players promoted up for training and matches.

Yep, and didn't Furlong also say a couple of the U18s had been training with the senior squad?

Sounds about right. It's encouraging that Furlong was excited about some of the up and coming youngsters.

I think we're certainly seeing the benefit of the big clear out in the dev squad as the likes of Neill, Tarbotton, Hassan, Kennedy all started playing those level of games before they turned 17. Much better than having a bunch of 20/21 year olds blocking the pathway for the more promising youngsters.

Agree. How many of us on here were questioning giving contracts to 23/24 years like Charlie Owen etc who were never going to make it.
I've criticised Nourry regarding transfers, but with regards to the player pathway it does feel more joined up as you pointed out with how many 16/17 year olds are already playing Development games.

Fingers crossed a couple make the grade with us.

Man, they'll love that.

Thankfully, last night, the cameras were left on for a while after the final whistle. The players were pumping up the crowd and waving to friends and family. It was great to watch. It's a huge competition and away to Arsenal may well be the biggest game in some of their careers.

3-0 Rangers, by the way.

I think the Arsenal youth team play somewhere exciting like Boreham Wood. Would be great if they used the first team stadium in Islington - can’t even remember the name
