Jonathan Varane after the lap of the pitch on the final whistle went over to the fans in the East Paddock sat on the billboards just chatting with random fans, taking selfies, having a laugh,

Seems to really love what he does, with the likes of Dunne, Field, Varane we seem to have a core group of really good lads, who love what they do and really treat our fans with the respect they deserve,

Superb on & off the pitch, those small things mean so much.

The smile on saito’s face when they came to take the applause at the loft end would light up a city. Great little player .

Dunne giving Field a big hug at the end as well.

I think we do have a Nice Bunch of Lads.

Poll: How old is everyone on here?

I walked past Varane when he was doing all that, he was in no rush to leave. Like you say chatting away, smiling, having photos. Seemed super happy and was a rare sight in the 'modern game' of someone genuinely interacting with fans out of choice.

It's a fragile recovery, as that first half showed, but it does feel like it's turning it a bit.

Yes it's lots of small positives which taken together give alot more hope,

Firstly, Oxford were so poor with zero attacking threat, which when you then consider Portsmouth, Plymouth etc you begin to believe there are 3 worst teams,

Secondly you expect to see Field haring back up the pitch to stop an attack but when you see Varane doing likewise you see how we've stopped conceding so many,

Other real positive when you consider how short we are in attack was not just Kolli's leap last night but how he never gave Shane Duffy a free header the other night, uses his body so well,

Long way to go but with Kolli, Chair, Saito & Smyth we suddenly got an attack that's awkward to defend against and can cause problems for most teams, let's hope.

I've sat and thought about the report all day and am basically writing now...

Needed to win.
Did.

That's it isn't it? Three game week, loads of injuries, bottom of the league, I'm not as bothered about the aesthetics at this point.

Don't go getting all hopeful now, you know where that takes us...

Can we go out yet?

Yes, 100%, as last season we didn't win quite a few similar must win games but taking points off Oxford & Cardiff is so important, even this early in the season.

A positive post about a player turned into a negative?

2024/2025.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

discussing this with mates today and pointed out that last year we stayed up by basically beating the teams we didn't need to beat and losing to the teams we did need to beat.

the 6 pointers in this division are vital and we'll make our job a lot easier with wins like last night

great to see that the players have bonded and feeling good, gotta be a good thing

This 100%. Two massive home wins in 5 days. Kolli 2 goals, 1 assist. 5 goals scored, 0 conceded. It’s been a great week for our football club. COYRs!!!

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.
