This is a good idea.. on 10:27 - Dec 7 with 1210 views | mikehunt | I loved when, for the game before Christmas, our players ran to each side of the pitch and gave a gift to a random kid they chose. It was the Dale Santa hats but could be anything we have too much stock of) Only happened twice I think but a lovely gesture). Not moneymaking exactly but a great way to bond with the younger element. I remember when we played Manure in a pre-season match a while ago. They had promoting-themselves bang-on: with people on each corner of our ground handing out freebies (posters and pictures etc) to all and sundry. I bet they made more converts that day than we did. Simple, inexpensive stuff like that needs implementing.

If kids do not want to go, puts parents in a difficult situation, Family oriented is what we need. Rather than you "are going"... should be Dad / Mum / Grandad etc... please can we..

We could do a lot more, but there does at least to be more of an age shift towards younger fans attending as seen in the Sandy. The Community Trust do a lot of good work in all age groups too, as seen on their website.
