Swansea City : Will this lead to the end of Levien & Kaplan ? on 19:06 - Oct 16 by liamW | Just had some discourse with one of the Twitter few who just can’t leave things alone. I think the editing and clarity on this report is understandable and easy to understand. Does any of our regulars disagree or agree with this individual. I thought it was pretty decent without grammar issues. We are always open to feedback, but from what I can see this xxxx has form for this.

Awful move for the club that the previous regime sold to these people, but they did ok out of it. Sooner gone the better. Unfortunately I believe if there is a possibility of them going they'll hang around to screw the fans, players and coaches to get the best deal for themselves. In my opinion they have never given a flying one about the fans or city. As for their ownership it's always smelt like the ownership of the Charlestown Chiefs in slap shot.

Swansea City : Will this lead to the end of Levien & Kaplan ? on 17:34 - Oct 16 by Whiterockin | A successful businessman knows when to cut and run. If they stay and continue in the same vein they will have to continually put money in just to stay still at best. I believe they are looking for a way out if possible, standard investment would only dilute their holding, if that was their aim why buy shares earlier this year and dilute the shares of others, it makes no sense. Cut and run and write off your loss against tax in the USA. |
Most of the LLP people have stakes in DC United which in valuation terms has been a huge success. Values at $800m. Losses at Swnsea could offset taxes on gains at DC United if both were sold. A good deal of anti Americanism on here from the usual suspect. £26m invested by the US people little debt and they are "hanging around like a bad smell". Some of us Welsh have a very s entitled attitude from years of living in English socialist welfare state. Too many still doff their cap. I am grateful for the US investment and slag off the Welsh freeloader shareholders who I refuse to name to keep Moderator D happy.

Swansea City : Will this lead to the end of Levien & Kaplan ? on 18:08 - Oct 16 by EagleEye | Venture capitalists, Hedge funds, Investment bankers, statistical processes or just one big pyramid scheme ? I have no confidence that theJanuary window will be any different to the last few seasons. Some of our best players are running their contracts down. Does anyone at the club know anything about the day-to-day running & management of a football business ? The club is in dangerous territory with the current ownership who have no real interest in the local area or its people |
Please do not post on things you do not understand. I did not know what a hedge fund was before reading about it on this forum about 7-8 years ago. I posted an explanatory YouTube video explaining it. Pyramid scheme is probably another thing you might not understand. Pyramid schemes are highly illegal. One was run by Bernie Madoff. I watched a documentary on him. He died in prison. You need to understand what you write. There is nothing resembling such crimes at Swansea city as far as I can see. The old board had venture capitalists. Katzen and the French guy. They sold all their share in 2016. They invested as much money as the fans actually. They wanted to sell their shares and sold all of them for big profits while the less alert owners were asleep or worrying about appearances. I argue a lot against posts like this. Fans were given a place on the board and ownership position and were and are not up to the job.

English people go out of their way to misname Welsh places and have now started calling anywhere west of Swansea in the south as "West Wales". BBC Wales started it when it was Dyfed and the English media do not like using Welsh letters. Gwent was widely used but does not include any "foreign letters". To save English people from pronouncing Dyfed (with a forced v sound) BBC Wales came up with West Wales (equating to Dyfed - Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire). It has persisted to today and has been adopted by the locals. Bangor is not in West Wales athough it is in the West of Wales. The media have decided Welsh places does not need to be identified for UK people in general.

The London based media in the main. BBC Word service in Turkish calls UK "England" Ingiltere in Turkish. I correct them every time they do it. Ingiltere come from the French Angletere or 'land of the Angles'.

Clueless from the start and not improved, infact I would say have gone backwards in certain aspects. Hopefully Morris, Morgan and Cravatt become more involved both financially and actively. Who is the outsider I'm thinking 🤔💭

Meanwhile back in the real world you have nothing to say about our prospects of getting things right in the next transfer window ? You think it’s ok for the club management to let our best players run down their contracts & leave for free ? Try looking in the mirror … the stupidity of your continued comments about the Trust are beyond a longstanding joke when they have nothing to do with the subject matter. What value is Mr Gude adding to the club ? Try reading what you have written before hitting the ‘Add reply’ button. The benefit of hindsight is a wonderful thing but you usually even get that wrong

Nice deflection. You have talked about Hedge funds and Pyramid schemes. I said you did not understand them. No comment on this tells me I was right. I stared earlier that the club should have offered them a deal and if refused treat them like they treated Asoro. Tell at least one of them their Swansea career was over. I do not know what Gude is doing. He could be organizing the new investment. How should I know? Gude should face up and be at the forum. The commercial man was there last time. Now tell me about you hedge funds and (highly illegal) pyramid schemes quote and how they relate to Swansea city.

Has in the past done the role of sporting director after checking a week or so back. As I said at the time, Savarese would tick a lot of boxes and help build the gap between club and fans.

Asoro wasn't worth a contract, are you seriously suggesting telling one of our better players to sign a contract (whatever it says) or just leave? That is a stupid suggestion. The hedge fund is what owns the majority of our club. You'd probably prefer to call them a consortium. They usually want above average returns so I don't know why they invest in football clubs, in the UK anyway., it's a very easy way to lose a lot of money.
