Weired Things Seen In A Stadium 09:29 - Jun 10 with 9197 views | PlanetHonneywood | I went to the baseball at Wham! yesterday and of all in-stadia eating I've seen around the world (and I include the US in this), I've never seen a hot dog as big as was being devoured by many. I'd say at least 24 inches/60 cms in length, smothered in God knows what, it looked awful. I can only imagine how awkward it would be to eat and for those sat around a person doing so. However, it was what happened during a break that was car crash viewing: they got two fat-fooks out to have an eating competition. Looked like two blokes sucking off a teletubby. Anyone else witnessed such horrors?

I've only been for the football, but it took us about an hour to get from our seats into Stratford station. A proper pain in the a rse - I couldn't do that every other week.

Folks were leaving early, so we stayed until the end. Then we went to a nondescript bar, which did have Brookly IPA on tap, and waited it out there for a while. I'd say if everyone spills out at the same time, it would be awful.

That’s what I was concerned about , seeing the Foo fighters there in a few weeks time and had heard it’s a nightmare getting away afterwards , and left it to late to find parking nearby as well as well

Genuinely given up on big gigs/sporting events. £8 for shite beer, crap food for a fortune, takes hours to get away after. Ticket prices crazy. Just no thanks.
Weired Things Seen In A Stadium on 08:06 - Jun 11 with 6104 views | GroveR | I went to a "ball game" during a recent trip to New York - Mets v Arizona at Citi Field. I have no idea what was going on but you can drink in your seat so that's one thing they've got right. They have huge food court type areas inside the ground and it seems a lot of people come there to eat and drink and watch the game on the screen rather than in their seat which bemused me. Then they rushed off to their seats after the game to watch a 30 minute fireworks display. They absolutely love a statistic and bombarding you with information but I reckon I'd have made more sense out of the heads up display in the space shuttle than the scoreboard. My missus kept asking what was happening and I just threw out some quotes from Moneyball with some random percentages to 3 decimal places like ".274 OBP" - I think I fooled the locals.

Oooh that would be nasty. You know what, as soon as they hit the stage, I'd leave then to avoid the inevitable delays.

Agreed, saw the Red Sox at Fenway Park a few years back, really enjoyed it even though I didn’t know what was going on it passed really quickly but as you say lots of locals just sat in the bar socialising and watching it on telly, I suppose if you play about 60 home games a year you can’t get invested in all of them. Didn’t like the repetitive “let’s go Red Sox let’s go” chant though! At pretty much each innings break they had a presentation on the pitch of local sports teams or military. Would definitely do it again though. Anyway, back to the OP, saw an anniversary games there a few years ago and it was a nightmare getting the Jubilee Line after!
Weired Things Seen In A Stadium on 09:33 - Jun 11 with 5921 views | robith | Newcastle away in the prem a few years ago. We were on the back row, which at SJP means you would have a better view from the International Space Station. Anyway, some absolute mad lad decides his seat is definitely, 100% in the middle of me and my mates, so squeezes himself in uncomfortably. Super weird guy as he was wearing shorts and flip flops in Newcastle in January. Proceeds to spend the whole first half taking selfies of himself saying "wassssssssup" into the camera. At half time he suddenly barges through us, shouting "IM GONNA SHIT MESELF". And he run waddles off down the stairs, leaving one of the most foul, wretched odours I've ever encountered behind him. Like a sulphuric belch from the fires of Hades. He didn't return for the second half

HQ about 5yrs ago. Cold day in November. Bloke sitting next me had his girlfriend with him she obviously didnt want to be there. She opens an Argos catalogue turning the pages and kept nudging him and pointing to something saying wat she can get for various members of her family and friends . He was so embarrased he kept looking at me. I could feel that he wanted her to shut up . She has never comebwith him since
Weired Things Seen In A Stadium on 10:54 - Jun 11 with 5702 views | saxbend | Probably the video played at half time during our league cup win at Villa Park in 2008. It's probably still on youtube. I am not going to look for it.
Weired Things Seen In A Stadium on 11:17 - Jun 11 with 5627 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Easy. Those Sumo wrestling outfits worn at half time versus Man City 30 odd years ago. Think it might have been the first ever Sky Sports Monday Night Football, and they were trying to Amercanise it with cheerleaders etc. I recall lots of booing by both sets of fans and abuse being hurled. Even as a 14/15 year old I knew it was sh!t.

Even quicker now, play time has been sped up. We 'let's go Red Sox' for a drink really.

I'll keep an eye out for anything weird now anyway
