Matty Rose carved out a very respectable wage for seasons doing this. There’s always mug clubs about willing to part with large amounts of folding each week for players that give you little in return. Just so happens we’re the biggest mugs of the lot

100% agree. You cannot be a professional footballer if you are barely fit. Plenty of time to do something else with his life. I'm surprised he has got this far tbh.

Hmm…I think you'll find Matthew Rose appeared for more minutes than some give him credit for. At least we could remember what he looked like ! And he had that superlative game at Hillsborough. JCS should offer up his body to medical research.
Could’ve kept Barbet but signed Clarke-Salter. Barbet was Mr Reliable always available and putting in a shift. Clarke-Salter’s the antithesis.
But he was absolutely pony in a back 2. Look at our defensive record up until the Norwich game in Dec 2020/21. Ok footballer, but an ave/poor CB. The only time we’ve looked ok with 2 cb’s is when Beale (spit) brought Balugon in for 8-10 games. We were shit, defensively, at the beginning of the season, but at least he recognised it and brought Balugon in. Other option was go go back 3, which I much prefer, given (when on song) we’ve liked to commit nos forward. A bandage and never die attitude only gets so you so far - just look at our (really) hopeless manager..
I said on the match thread that we should pay up this invalid's contract in the summer. The bloke's an absolute joke.
Dread to think how much that would cost us as he has 3 years left. We need to find another club willing to take him for a nominal fee so we don't have to pay his contract up
