Drakeford man up 20:25 - Oct 12 with 5853 views | trampie | Drakeford needs to man up and close the border with England, places like Liverpool are riddled with covid and Bojo is doing nothing to stop them from traveling to Wales.

Drakeford man up on 04:28 - Oct 13 by Kilkennyjack | Read my reply again - not that you will.... Its not a choice of tourism - good or bad? Its an urgent public health matter. Welsh govt are already using local lockdowns to stop covid spreading. All that sacrifice will be wasted If people from high level covid areas like NE, NW, and Midlands simply end up in Wales and spread the virus again. Its just common sense, but then you know that dont you ? Follow your Alternative guidance and a 3rd wave is guaranteed with further lockdowns to follow. Its a really dumb idea. |
A 3rd wave will happen because we are always kicking the can down the road

This virus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Unlike the tourism industry which is going down the pan. Even if we locked down for a year we’d still see another wave. There has to be a point where you’ll see that we’re doing far more harm than good.

Drakeford man up on 09:43 - Oct 13 with 912 views | onehunglow | Seems ironic to wish tourists back especially the English ones seeing how they and their culture and language is so despised. It shows clearly Wales cannot survive without England economically. The very last thing the Welsh Govt should do is to wind up Westminster as there is only one winner.

Drakeford man up on 22:04 - Oct 12 by Highjack | People can slag off Faye and Claire as much as they want but I won’t hear a word against our Ian. |
I'll take Faye every time thank you, you can keep Ian if you like him so much Now I think we need to protect the economy too but if Drakeford believes he can and should close the border, why is he fannying around like a limp lettuce? Maybe it's because he is. He's a lame duck. If there are rules in England that say don't leave your area and people are travelling out of their area to Wales then the police can and should step in. The police have powers and should act, like they did in Norwich, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-54511643 Like they apparently have with people travelling out of area to MacArthur Glen too. It doesn't matter if I agree with Drakeford or not, if he believes he should do something and he's given Bojo a warning, then he should act. If he's not strong enough then he should step down and let someone who is strong take over. At this point I'd take Liz Saville-Roberts or Drakeford! THough I wouldn't take Gething, he's just as useless.

Drakeford man up on 09:55 - Oct 13 with 900 views | onehunglow | Absolutely. We are very near Wales and go there often but not now. Many here have family in Wales but it is what it is.Stay Home . If you don't then Police really should intervene,as they should as regards non mask wearing jerks in supermarkets. We do this properly or not at all. That we didnt before means we have this situation now.

We should build a wall the length of the border and England should pay for it.

Build it and they WON'T come! SO Hadrians Wall, Offa's dyke and now maybe Drakefords Folly? PS, Felix, absolutely, any Welsh residebnts crossing into England from hotspots, the police should deal with. Maybe PCSO's should have extra powers during this?

Drakeford’s Dam has a good roll off the tongue. Divert the Severn river and the Wye. Build a massive dam along the border then withhold all the water to sell to the English at an increased price, if they complain we release the water and flood Shropshire in a torrent of righteous glory.

“Of those out of work] about 300,000 are aged 16-24, so about 60% of the fall in employment... that's really disproportionate." Mr Athow said the large number of redundancies had been focused on sectors such as hospitality, travel and recruitment.” Perhaps they should just get on their bike and take a job in another industry?

My work colleague lives in Shropshire and he'll confirm that that's already happening with without the need of a river diversion

The trouble with Wales is , tourism is all that we have , unless you live in the s e corner or the n Walian coast what else is there to sustain the populace. How can it be right that for example Tenby has to rely on a good summer to see it through the winter months multiple that across the country and then you can understand the frustration of some willing to take the risk just to keep putting bread on the table .

Boundy. According to tramps and killy,Wales is rich in resources and could survive on wind power and water. They would ,I think, retake Llyn Celyn and make Liverpool pay more for the water.
