We were mugs to think they would do anything but shuffle over the line .The protests over the restart should have warned us . A few days and it will be over .

I've got a horrible feeling that we've already agreed that he will be with us next season, so that's why we keep playing him.

And probably involving Eze.
Owls match thread on 16:43 - Jul 11 with 1659 views | Nov77 | So 75% possession after 80 minutes means Sheffield Wednesday have only had the ball for 20 minutes of this game yet in that time they’ve scored 3 goals. In the 60 minutes we’ve had it we’ve conjured 1 shot on goal.

Owls match thread on 16:38 - Jul 11 by St_Pollock | Surely the board need to be taking a close look at Warburton and why other clubs got rid of him... |
Think that's harsh. Only 4 of our players are Championship standard: Eze, BOS, Manning and Barbet. And all have been varying degrees of terrible since the restart The rest who played today wouldn't stand out in a League One side. Most wouldn't in a League two side. Leistner, Hall, Pugh, taken from him by the board giving up on this season. Wells also really Rangel, Hugill injured. Warburton has been left with a league one/two standard team and it shows

I don’t know if it was me or I heard someone refer to Amos as an empty crisp packet blowing around in the wind . Personally I would start cheese and onion walkers Having said that ball has been just as useless as has Geoff ! Barbet has also forgot how to defend , as has manning

Owls match thread on 16:49 - Jul 11 with 1357 views | qprd | Nick London complains abt how Amos has nothing in front of him... he passes backwards and kakay immediately plays a good ball over the top to Oteh Stop making excuses for him, he has been sh*t and afraid to take chances

Owls match thread on 16:14 - Jul 11 by qprd | God I can’t bear to watch anymore backwards and sideways passes from Amos Absolutely no intent and willingness to take a risk How is he still in the team? What does he bring to the table to justify a spot? |
This is the key point for me. The whole point of Warbuton's style of play is to take risks, make attacking runs and move the ball quickly. Slow that down or start playing more conservatively, and it falls apart, just like we've seen since the restart. Fingers will invariably point at Warburton and I think there's something clearly not quite right across the squad, but for me this is mainly about the players. Kakay and Lumley don't seem to be lacking in motivation, so what's wrong with the others? Sincerely hope this is Amos' last appearance for us, and that the players phoning it in with half an eye on being sold (Eze, Bright, Manning) have the self-respect to stop treating fans like idiots for the remaining time they're here.

Owls match thread on 16:14 - Jul 11 by VancouverHoop | I think losing Hall has been significant. No one else has been able to organise our defence – not that he was any Frank McLintock – but the panic since his departure has been evident. |
If we were showing even some semblance of normality with a leakier defence that would make sense. As it is think it more telling that we would be relying so much on Hall or any other player to organise the side.
Owls match thread on 16:53 - Jul 11 with 1208 views | DylanP | I know I'm on my own on this one but I think Eze has been shite since the re-start. He does a few good flicks every now and again, but otherwise is a waste of space. He had an opportunity to be leader but instead he is just a passenger
