Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

I was just about to shout that Ayew shouldn’t be up top and Brewster shouldn’t be out right and then Ayew goes and does his little flick for 2-1.

WTF do I know, eh?

Not seeing the sense in bringing Gallagher in and persisting with f*cking Grimes and Byers in the middle. Fulton put himself on the line more in his cameo than Byers had all game and Grimes was simply inept for long periods.

Otherwise pleased with the noobs. Nice to scrape a win against one of the worst teams in the division, but still lots of improvement needed.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

When was the last time Grimes had a good game? Ayew should be made captain. Take the pressure off Grimes.

I came away reasonably happy and see promise in the loanees, but why do we keep falling back into our old bad habits? At times I thought 'turn back Taylor' was back, with a back pass to the centre backs or keeper preferred to a cross. And then with about 20 minutes left we go into our shell, sit back and let one of the poorest teams in the league put us under the cosh. I know people will say we are fifth and yep that is good, but with a tighter ship we would walk this league.

Don't give it to Ayew, don't want that affecting his performances.
Dont see what's wrong in giving it to Naughton.

Ayew is effectively the captain. Who wears the band is irrelevant if they don’t lead. And I don’t think Ayew is that good either. Seriously missing an Ash type player in the middle.

But we are where we are. It should never have been stripped from Mikey, unless there’s a dynamic behind the scenes we’re not aware of (which is more than likely).

If the captaincy detrimentally affects the player's performance, then they should give it back to Ash.

Or Tatey at a push.

Byers could have and should have done more to get to the ball and player resulting in their goal
I still dont see what he brings to the team he is static never looks up and 80 % of the time passes back.

Wigan pretty much dominated us at their place. How we came away with three points is a mystery. Still, hope we thrash em today!

The foul count must have ended about 50 - 10 to Wigan. Staggering the only yellow came on 88minutes and that was because he literally had no choice. Terrible ref and the linesman on the East must be a Cardiff / Wigan fan. Did he honestly think Kieffer Moore was outpacing players to be in the positions he was!?

No movement off the ball at all.
A couple, of time in the second half in line with us, Cabango had the ball but not a single pass on and no one looking to make themselves available. His choices attempt a pass to a player standing behind a Wigan player, lump it up, turn it back.
Ayew is effectively captain .. After the first goal he went back to the half way circle and shook hands with every player retuning from the goal celebration, was in the ref's ear over fouls and had a right rant at Roberts for not being in position for their goal.
3 points is always welcome but apart from a few minutes here rand there we were quite awful. Another dreadful team allowed to look good and we were clinging on at the end.
Grimes and Byers were, once again, dire. GIving the new players a chance to bed in but tbh I can't understand some of the hyperbole over their performances. Potentially very good.

We're 5th in The Championship, and no-one seems happy.

Is it because we've come 'down' to this, whereas people were happy when we came 'up' to this?

No, there are genuine questions that need to be asked and answered. We did have a load of luck throughout our brilliant start.

Most Swans fans know our good league position is misleading as the form table would tell you.
