42 - the answer to Life, the universe, everything? Douglas Adams was clearly fixed by that question and answer, as was Lewis Carroll... 'rule 42, it's the oldest rule in the book' said the Queen of Hearts (Alice wondered why in that case, it wasn't no.1?) When Alice tried multiplication, she declared "oh dear! I shall never get to twenty at that rate!" - complex maths problem of bases but one that breaks on base 42 There are others from Lewis Carroll, more complex and obscure but let's move on. Actually the number is quite significant. For example, if you bored a hollow tube through the earth, it would take 42 minutes by gravity train to get to the other side.. Well, the Kumars live there! The number of spots on a pair of six-sided dice are 42 Level 42 Lessons in love? ah, it goes on - but I don't think it's the answer to this particular puzzle?

Only one shoe in bottom sum(first pic)so only 5 ? also only 1 tie so x 2 [Post edited 22 Feb 2019 20:00]

Ere, it's not Shoe(10) TIMES it's PLUS Also, it's a single shoe ... So, Shoe (5) + Man with two scarves and two shoes (5+4+10) X 1 scarf (2) ERGO 48 Assuming he has a scarf (tie?) in each hand or he hasn't torn one scarf/tie in two and is holding the two parts WTF - URRRRs!!!

For all you brain boxes out there on 15:00 - Feb 22 by Jeff | Well the answer depends on assorted assumptions, doesn’t it? Because on their own, a single shoe is 5, a dude is 5 and a single weird rope thing is 2. In the bottom photo the dude has on two shoes and is holding two weird rope things, so on the assumption that the dude in the bottom image is actually worth (5 + 5 + 5 + 2 +2 = 19) and then applying BODMAS to the photo of 5 + (19 x 2) = 43 |
Bump. This is still the answer as far as I can see...
