But they also head to towns on marches every other weekend singing incredibly offensive, racist songs, do they not?

I don’t know I’ve never attended but thankfully being “incredibly offensive” isn’t a crime yet. And saying the kickitout group isn’t political is like saying Pepsi isn’t fizzy. It’s 2018 not 1818 the myth that we live in a racist, sexist, homophobic society must be propagated otherwise a hell of a lot of people working in the professional victim industry would be out of work. I don’t need to be told not to chant monkey noises at black guys.

The black family that had racist graffiti painted on their house last week in milnrow, must have escaped from olden times then. Of course a lot of people are still homophonic, sexist and racist. Up until recently people kept these views quiet, your alt right chums are making it fashionable again though

I’ve jokingly referred to myself as alt right on here in the past to wind you up.successful happy go lucky lads like myself don’t see themselves as victims enough to cling onto the victim politics of the far right or the far left. Which is essentially what extreme politics is, blaming someone else or the hierarchy for your lot in life. The national socialists seen themselves as victims of the Jews and the commies seen themselves as victims of the bourgeoisie. I can assure you I’m pretty much to the centre. I seen that on Rochdale online the other day the stupid barstewards didn’t even have the decency to spell blacks right. Of course there are still racist individuals the point I’m making is I don’t think we live in a racist society. Your always going to get horrible individuals. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Hitler and co did not see themselves as victims of Jews . They turned people into Jew haters by making out that all the problems of the time were down to Jews . The Russian revolution had mass support because people wanted solutions to a basically feudal society . When times are grim, people are easily persuaded.

I agree with some of that and disagree with other bits of that. There was plenty of support for the Monarchy in the Russian civil war too either way they didn’t end up any better off under communist leadership in fact much worse. And they defiantly did see themselves as victims of “world Jewry” the Jews were blamed from everything from the loss of ww1 right through to the Great Depression.

There's always been censorship at Football grounds. The chants are wrong and have no place in a family environment. It's not a demonstration. Using the victims of terrorism to try and justify it is beyond tasteless. There's loads of #freetommy events around the country. Use that platform.

(No subject) on 23:43 - Aug 8 with 2720 views | BlueDales | You get people every now and again mention that a very low proportion of Rochdale's British-Asian population attend football matches (as is also said of Bradford City). That we have people chanting in support of hate figures like Robinson might explain why things won't improve any time in the near future. We've got an "untapped" group of potential supporters, why would we want to make that group feel unwelcome at Spotland? That aside, I don't want or need the hatred and bigotry of those supporting Tommy Robinson at my club. We're better than that. [Post edited 8 Aug 2018 23:44]

What they are trying to do is paint some sort of equalism between groups like the EDL and Jihadists. The two don’t compare in terms of evilness or acts of barbarity commited. Singing a few tasteless songs about the fact that Mohammad was probably a pedophile just doesn’t stack up with suicide bombing and female genitalia mutilation. When polled it turns out fifty one percent of young Muslims in Britain believe in the death penalty for gay people. Gays have been thrown under the bus by the left just like Labour have thrown Jewish people under the bus. Why it’s seen as racist old fashioned and stodgy to criticise Islam while progressive and liberal to defend it and cozy up to throat slitters like hamas beats me Your not the only one stumped kiwi I can assure you. The reaction to the Manchester bomb was strange and surreal. It got turned into a chance to sing oasis songs and go on the piss at a benefit gig. We were all assured by the commissioner of gmp that anybody found to be causing offence or committing hate crimes in the wake of the attack would have the full force of the law coming down on them. I don’t see much future for a society that can’t be arsed getting angry at the murder of its own children. I don’t think I’ve ever had a political discussion with Ken boon that doesn’t result in him painting me out to be a caveman. You will struggle to have a fair exchange of ideas and opinion with a virtue signaller.

Just to add a touch of balance to your opinion about Labour throwing those of the Jewish faith under the bus, how many have the Tories thrown under the bus? Windrush, Grenfell, the disabled, pretty much anyone who isn't white, the poor and vulnerable, the mentally ill, the fire service, nurses, the old bill..........The only ones doing well seem to be the bus companies...

I’m not into the Tory party anymore then I’m into Labour. But you expect welfare cuts and little public spending from the Conservative party that’s what they are about. You shouldn’t however expect the party of social justice as it was defined by Jeremy Corbyn to compare Israel to Isis or for its MPs to tweet that victims of grooming gangs should just shut up for the sake of diversity.

You edited the post after I posted my reply and added the disclaimer, which you mention in your edit. I am sure you don't condone it, but I cannot read something you don't actually post at the start! Do please point out where i've had a pop at you before. If singing songs about Tommy Robinson is Racist Bigoted and highly offensive as suggested? How racist bigoted and offensive is cutting off a soldiers head in London and Blowing up Children in Manchester deemed to be? Being a bigot isn't a good response to the evil of terrorism. It doesn't solve anything. I dare suggest some in the edl use these tragedies to try and excuse their bigotry. Mentioning the two in the same sentence can encourage that thinking. Neither justify the other. Whether that be murdering journalists because they published a cartoon of Muhammad or being violent because of a jihadist terror attack. The solution is everyone condemning both, which generally does happen. I'm sure i'm preaching to the choir.

We've had political discussions before? I tend to stay clear of them. Internet isn't really the place for them now. However... For the record I agree with some of what you say RE: Manchester bomb. Somewhere along the way the actual victims got forgotten and focus changed to Islamophobia. Nothing is above criticism and Islam should be openly criticised. Many who practice it have beliefs that don't belong in the current day. Nobody should be criticised for raising this. It's just there's way of being critical. Even people with the best intentions should probably pick a better platform than a protest where they cannot be sure there won't be some bigots there, who's actions will distract from any legitimate discussion. Don't get me started on the booing of Piers Morgan at the recent tribute that was supposed to preach tolerance.

It depends to whom you speak when comparisons are made between Israel and Isis, I'm certain that many Palestinians would make that comparison as in fact do some non Palestinians. Does the condemnation of Israeli actions make one anti semitic? And on the other side of that spinning coin does the condemnation of Isis make one racist? Or are the rules different?
