Poor reputation. Don’t think he’s scored a senior goal yet. Not for me.

Pathetic. I got him for less than half that on fifa last year. Did a decent job too. could've told the club about that one ages ago. But would they listen? of course not.

Peterborough have a good track record of selling these forwards on who are bloody useless. Washington and Mackail-Smith come to mind.

Would Martin and Smith be the least mobile / heaviest strike partnership ever? Praying Martin is just a lazy 2+2=5 rumour. Even if he wasn’t a complete cnt, he’s crap.

McLaren and Eustace watched him in their most recent friendly I think so I doubt it. Maybe just through Stockholm syndrome but I've warmed to the idea a bit. Targeting Martin and Hugill is a clear indication of what they're after, a hold up man who can bring everyone else we've got into play. Plus being a complete cnt wins you the fouls which Smith is apparently now blacklisted from... | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Would like it be on record before he scores four against us this season that I don’t rate Bamford at all. 13 in over 40 games last season but most of those came in one purple patch of five games. Didn’t make a dent in the playoffs.

Bamford is a high class player but only in quite a particular way - more particular than it's functionally worth, it might be fair to argue. Clubs have seemed to keep hiring him expecting him to be something he's not so it will be interesting to see how much thought Leeds have put into it, especially for that price. | And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

There are several clubs who just keep signing players even with 30+ current players to select from Bolton have added another 2 Leeds I've lost count in the last few days Forest are entering 3 teams this season

I just mean he hasn't the strength or inclination to play hold up man or the speed to even really play off one in the standard set ups that Dyche, Pulis and to a lesser extent Karanka wanted to put him in. He is however an intelligent improviser, technically excellent and pretty deadly if you give him the balls to feet he wants in the right areas. Maybe that makes him not a particularly functional player but he isn't a bad one by a long shot - in another life I could imagine him scoring hatfuls in the current City side.

Transfer window general thread on 14:01 - Aug 1 with 2821 views | WadR | Woods is class, would be a top signing (and significantly weaken Brentford) but finding Swansea's attempts to recruit the most lightweight midfield in the world a little odd. Woods, Bersant Celina, Barrie McKay to add to Little Tommy Carroll, Nathan Dyer and Routledge. A lot of pressure on Leroy Fer aka The Bouncer.

Think it's pretty laudable to be honest, given they're doubtless as desperate as anyone else to get back up. Certainly hope they do better than Stoke's tedious and costly pragmatism.
