Stoke City ... season comparison to ours 07:43 - May 21 with 6450 views | Starsky | Stoke beat us to the signing of Joe Allen, signed Berahino, Ramadan Sobhi and had the luxury of having Bony on a season loan. The total outlay for this seasons signings is in excess of £34million. Bony's only goals were against us. Berahino has even got a league goal yet. If we win and Stoke lose today, we finish level on 41 points. Stoke haven't really been relegation candidates whilst we've just performed another great escape this season. The Swans are only the second club to escape relegation whilst being bottom at Christmas in a Premier league history. So despite Stoke having Allen & Bony (2 players a lot on here would love to see back at the Liberty) They've had a dissapointing season. I guess Stoke are pissed off with Mark Hughes, whilst Paul Clement is a hero. Massive contrasts in the feelgood factor of both clubs' set of fans. So my questions to this forum are: 1: which club has most underperformed/underachieved this season? stoke or Swansea? 2: which club is more likely best equipped to avoid the drop next season? 3: who is the best Manager to achieve this for their clubs? Hughes or Clement? 4: which of these 2 clubs wasted the most money on the transfer market? Discuss? [Post edited 21 May 2017 7:45]

Stoke City ... season comparison to ours on 07:53 - May 21 with 5493 views | Whiterockin | And if Stoke win and we lose there is a six point gap. Stoke could finish in 11th. We have also spent about £30M on players this season.

We were not bottom at Christmas 2. 3 clubs in EPL history have survived having been bottom at Christmas 3.We have not beaten WBA yet 4 Stoke have not lost today and could well finish six points above us. 5. Who has the best squad? 6. Who has a chairman and owners prepared to spend and take the clubs to "the next level"? and I mean upwards.

Stoke City ... season comparison to ours on 08:30 - May 21 with 5375 views | jack247 | 1. Swansea - Stoke have had a mildly disappointing season. They are a mid table team likely to finish in mid table, whereas this board was like a manic depressants jamboree a few weeks ago. We have had two excellent mini runs under Clement that have masked how bad the season was before his arrival 2. Stoke 3. Clement 4. Hard to say - I'm guessing the £34m total outlay is a net spend rather than total spend? We spent more than that if it's not. With the obvious exception of Borja and arguably Narsingh, I wouldn't say we wasted our money. Llorente, Mawson, Olsson, Carrol and Ayew have all had a positive impact.
Stoke City ... season comparison to ours on 08:41 - May 21 with 5341 views | Kilkennyjack | Stoke have the stronger squad. Stoke have enjoyed their season. Hughes - great player - is an average manager at the very best.

Reading their board I wouldn't say they have enjoyed it, six wins at home all season, we have actually won more games than them

We were only 43 goals away from not scoring once all season as far as I'm concerned. Its not good enough.

They've served up a load of old horseshit this season. They're lucky they caught us at our most bobbley or the positions might well have been reversed. Ditto Ham. Two formerly decent clubs in my younger days (Dobing, Eastham, Banks, Hurst, Devonshire etc) are now disgusting cesspits. Hope both go down next year taking Hughes, Bowen, Brady and Porno with them. Thank god for marko arnoutovic though. My favourite ever stokie.

Stoke City ... season comparison to ours on 09:47 - May 21 with 5074 views | Pegojack | I've always admired Arnautovic and wished he'd signed for us, but boy did he come through for us when it mattered! I thought Hughes was a good judge of a player, but was mystified with his decision to sign Berahino, who I think has a stinking attitude and is vastly over-rated.

You've just trashed my opening debate 😂 I must have meant bottom at New Years 😉 With your 6th point... Stoke didn't go to the next level despite spending loads.

Stoke City ... season comparison to ours on 14:05 - May 21 with 4626 views | dobjack2 | Both have underperformed although because we are the ones that were in relegation do doo we underperformed most. Both sides were looking to push on up the table Stoke had a meh season and ours was squeaky bum time. Best equipped to avoid the drop - wait until the end of the transfer window Clement Both teams have had big money flops This season. Wasted most depends on berahino- if he doesn't come off then it is Stoke. Our problem over a number of windows has been buying too much squad filler and not getting quality upgrades for the starting 11.
