Just sack the messer

Car park in Windsor - allegations of not agreeing to a breath test at wheel of his footballers wagon, chased into a kebab shop.

Headlines read "£40k a week footballer...."

You know the rest

Time to cut him lose, fckin idiot. Genuinely thought he'd got grip after his summer tour to Africa. There's is not a decent man in there trying to get out, he's a fcking liability. Sack him.

I do worry about him, and his demons, but whilst being pampered with ST money he isn't going to face them. £40,000 who wouldn't take it? A week? Sorry to say the blokes a knt. Sack him off.

I dont know if his contract is up this summer or next -- no matter, sack him!

I understand totally all the people who were going on previously about him needing help and understanding....but he needs to want to help himself
There's only so many self discovery trips to Sierra Leon you can do.

I've said it in the past, he makes me so angry as he should've been a corner stone of us staying up when we signed him. Absolutely no due diligence done there -- he's a wreck

Football needs to get with the real world on a few things and being able to performance manage wasters pulling £40k out of your business should be one of them!!

Yes, certainly, one that costs hard working people who want to go the football but cannot afford to £40 fcking thousand pound sterling A WEEK. Context is everything, excuses cost fck all. To survive here in southern europe costs about 1500 euros, £1300 a month. A month. ffs. He's a knt.
Let him indulge his disease elsewhere, he can fck right off he's mugged us all off one time too many. Compassion has it's limits too. An incident in a kebab shop at his age? Jesus fcking christ.

He's obviously got it bad, but he has the resources, and i imagine the support, to find help where-ever.
Surely he's in breach of contract so yeah, I hope he sorts his life out, but he's had enough from us. His wages could be put to so much good use for our community team.

Well, as you just said we took him on either without doing our homework or knowing the risk so we have some responsibility.

There may be a piss taking element there sure, but if he is an alcoholic (I used IF Clive) then we are obliged to offer him help. I'm sure we have and maybe there will come a time where there is nothing the club can do.

This is by no means a Bosingwa / SWP type situation though. There is a massive elephant in the room to consider.

Hope he gets through what we all think he needs to get through.

Did you see that bloke James earlier in the week from the community trust?

We've obliged Caulker too much already. Put his wages into the Trust for 6 months instead.

I dunno mate, I think it's irrelevant how much he earns.

He may be a t wat when he's sober for all I know but isn't that a separate issue?

No. It's a priviledged position. With responsibility. He has utterly failed and wont straighten out until he is cut off.
Imagine what the trust could do with one weeks money for Caulker? Someone asked that James fella to play a game and couldn't buy him a pair of boots.

Well, if James was on £40,000k a week and played football for a living would we be calling for his sacking and labelling him a waste of space because of his illness?

I'm not in the know by the way so just speculating. I have no idea what the club have or haven't done or what the player has or hasn't got. Neither am I defending the player, but there are some rash comments on here about it I think.

Never knowingly right.

Thing that annoys me is that he is a millionaire and could easy get a cab or it's on a direct train line (Richmond to Windsor), then he would keep under the radar.

Seems like he will be disqualified in a couple of weeks so will be using the train a lot, he won't be going anywhere soon if he can't drive 😞

Just check yourself into the Priory Stephen and sort your life out... you can't take the boy out of Feltham though 🙄

Again not sure the selfish footballer cliche is relevant here.

Surely this is gross misconduct and bringing the club into disrepute - both sackable offences.

Theres another thread on here at the moment about Mclaren getting sacked. How the hell can he lose his job but Caulker who seems to be getting pissed up and nicked every other weekend gets to keep his..?
He needs help for sure but playing for QPR earning 40 large isnt going to help. Needs a reality check.

Without getting involved in the bickering, important to point out that that the club won't be out of pocket while he is unable to work and tackling (or not) his demons.

It could well be the club is already disciplining him maybe?

Fining him for not turning up to work, being unfit and generally being a waster. I dunno.

Addiction is a swine of a thing.
But it can be beaten as people on here have attested to.

I really hoped he'd spun himself around. He would've had huge respect from all if he had.
I'm sure for the person we all hope he does.

It's time for him to go. he has a bigger battle to fight than winning football matches.
It's the most serious contest of his life.
I hope he wins it.
But he needs to do it out of the limelight and away from us....

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Think he;s had a few get out of jail cards with us, great piece on him in the Guardian last summer in Africa, talking about his place in this world an poverty. Genuinely believed he's got his head straight and he turns u on Clapham Junction platform attacking commuters, like you do, and now a kebab shop in Windsor.
He;s kind of old enough to know better and has the means to not end up in the tabloids...or fighting on public transport and kebab shops on the way home. 8 days a week I'd give his salary to the community Trust. Caulkers burned his bridge for me.
You cannot carry on like that on £40,000 a week.
