Thought we could all do with a bit of cheering up, so what little ditty would you pick as your exit song? The rebel in me would go for So What by the Anti Nowhere League, but I reckon I'd nick this one picked by my old man - raised a wee smile on a tough old day...

Danny Boy sung by Frank Patterson. I'm not Irish and I'm not called Danny, but I want maximum tears at my send-off, and I'll be fuc king livid if there's a dry eye in the house when this gets an airing. Failing that, I wouldn't mind going down the travelator to The Grange Hill theme tune.

Had sometimes thought of this as the lyrics would work and it's a cracking choon. But then my friend Eric fugged it up by dying and stealing it! If I catch him, I'll kill him.
"There are places I remember All my life, though some have changed Some forever, not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life, I've loved them all"
"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
I imagine a grand exit to 'When I Am Laid in Earth' sung by Maria Ewing which always makes me cry but, I've mentioned before that my son has told me it's going to be 'Money's Too Tight To Mention'

What a great song. Haven't heard it for thirty years. Just as good as ever. Thanks for reminding me.

There is a reason for this, the old broadcasting rules (may still be the same) to show a flaccid Penis on TV was measured by the island of Mull of Kintyre. If it went above the hang of the island then it couldn't be shown.
I want this to be my tune for people to remember me. When it gets to the part with the bagpipes I want 10/15 people playing the same tune on bagpipes walking into the crematorium. I want it bellowing all round the crematorium.
I want this all to be happening whilst a picture of Mull of Kintyre raises above my coffin and I want people to realise why I have had this song playing.
For no other reason, than a really bad Penis joke and everyone starts to giggle until the whole room is giggling.
It's a really terrible joke but I would love it if that happened.

True story. My brother in laws Uncle Charlie died last year. Vicar at the cremation said that his wishes were that this was played as he departed thru the curtains.
