Except that Oxford are scoring goals for fun - they scored 4 goals away to Notts County in their last match, and beat Exeter 3-0 in their last home match - and are near the top of their division. They are full of confidence, and will really fancy their chances if we are complacent enough to put out a side totally full of reserves. They will be a settled team, unlike us.
But in theory, having any Premier League referee should help our chances because refs interpret things differently in each of the divisions. [Post edited 6 Jan 2016 18:52]

IMHO, Friend is one of the better refs around.
We could have had Bobbi and him given them a penalty in extra time, when there's no foul.
Or that muppet from the Isle of Wight( or was it the Isle of Man?) who sent off a load of ours and made Bess stand with one foot on the pitch, being held up by the medical staff, otherwise it was game abandoned. Think it was Scunthorpe in a League cup game
Think Mr Friend will give our lads a fair bit of protection from thugball merchants.
Still feel sorry for Duke though, but I think it was Friends first major final and he had no choice but to send him off. |  |
