Any idea when the draw takes place, and what number we are.
Who do we want or who do we want to avoid.

Tomorrow on BBC at 7pm I believe. We're no. 39.

I'd like Carlisle at home because I like all their midfielders and that deckchair kit needs reviewing.

I wouldn't like a local derby as they're nowt but hassle.

For selfish reasons I'd like a southern non league team away. If by some miracle chesham utd or maidenhead win today that would be perfect!

Is your sister likely to accommodate a coach party?

B&B only, of course.

Wondered what you where suggesting when i saw that first sentence .

Perhaps not a coach load but they wouldn't have a problem putting anybody up for the night. She's a bit of a poetry writing, yoghurt knitting, free spirit my sister and so is her husband. Both good eggs.

Aye, I know it sounded a bit dodgy!

Alston's a great little place, tucked away in the North Pennine hills. Somewhere to knit yoghurt to your heart's content, in peace.

Ball 39 out first please!!

No fear... But a home draw would be lovely.

Whitehawk, purely for their great name. Home or away would be fine.

Agree......ANY Home tie will do nicely......there are still plenty of cr*p possibilities and banana skins in the draw.......

Personally, Northwich Vics would do.

I really fancy Alty or Northwich away. Beatable non league opposition, fairly close to home and with a decent following would make a good day out. Plus if it's on telly and moved to a silly time it's easy to get to.

Colchester, Stevenage or Yeovil away are all dreary prospects.

From a quick count of round one, 20 ties involved league vs non-league clubs, of which 12 were won and 4 lost by league clubs (4 drawn; FCUM vs Chesterfield yet to play). So a home draw against a non-league club might be the best path to an attractive round 3 match.

But a chance of revenge against FCUM, in front of the TV cameras, would have its attractions.

We have a very poor record against non-league teams. Better to avoid embarrassment.
Yeovil away please.

Looking forward to it. The pitch hasn't been covered so god knows how they've managed to get tonight's game on.

Should be a good game. If the winner draws Dale it'll make it even more interesting.

For purely selfish reasons this would be ideal for me, only live a couple of miles away. Went to watch their 5-3 win over Lincoln yesterday, a good day out and Jack Muldoon playing for the Imps. If by some chance we do draw them down here, I think you should prepare yourself for a bit of a shock. The 'stadium' is barely worthy of the name, I've played at better grounds and my football career never rose above the level of average Sunday League hacker....
