Made that disappointed "ohhhhh" noise when Ospina hit Bafe's shot out. That was followed by the whole pub celebrating it when we eventually realised they'd awarded the goal. Great result boyos! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
The Official Arsenal FC v Swansea City MatchDay/Night Thread on 02:09 - May 12 with 2570 views | JackFish | I would like to apologise to the Korean gentleman standing next to me for hugging him and screaming when the ref awarded the goal, don't think the poor guy had a clue what was going on. If you'd have said at the Wrexham game that in ten years time we'd have won (again) at the Emirates to close the gap on the European places to a one point people would think you were mental. Thought our defending was excellent again, lost count of the number of times Ash and Cork threw themselves in front of shots, and Fab was superb again. Southampton go to Man City on the final day so if they were to lose to Villa on Saturday we've got a great chance of passing them. P.S. Anyone know how I'm supposed to get to sleep after that??

Sleep is easy...move to America where the game was over by 4:00 in the afternoon. Means several hours of celebration time for me!

Yes, but it's Tuesday there...and the game was on Monday... I had planned weeks ago for tomorrow to be a day off work for me...I fully admit, I never thought the Swans would have the Monday match during this week, but I'll certainly take the ability to celebrate tomorrow as well. Fantastic Season! On a side note...This might be the 12th time I've watched the highlights and commentary...but if I hear one more commentator over here mention that Arsenal dominated for 89 minutes and lost on a disputed goal, I'm going to throw something through the television. One, it was not a disputed goal. How do you dispute replay? Two, Swans played the first 73 minutes without an available striker because of injuries...we were always going to have no choice but to defend for large portions of the match. Maybe if Arsenal is struggling to handle these type matches they should try something different and score a goal... [Post edited 12 May 2015 5:50]

We didnt know it was a goal, well I didnt!! until everyone started going mental, in fairness the only ones complaining about that win was that t*sser Wenger, the Arsenal fans coming away from the ground were quite magnanimous about it

How anyone can describe that goal as "disputed" is beyond me. For any "disputers" out there - see goal-line technology!

Arsenal were well and truly turned over by a supreme tactical performance, elements of luck too, but that wins every game, and we were missing Rangel for the crucial part of the game, Naughton and Nelson who had just found his scoring boots, plus Gomis on the bench. Routledge was also out. Arsenal ! We did you in the only way we know how, by tactically out thinking you. It's not as if it's the first time we have done this ...If it was Mourinho doing that everyone would be all over it.
