The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP 07:01 - Apr 4 with 2340507 viewsLblock

Here I am starting this from my recovery bed and no clue how to link tunes on an iPhone!

Will stick on my offerings from a PC later unless the other knuckles thread is the preference to use?

House classics and dancey dazzlers only, no hijacking from suicide rock please!

In the beginning there was jack.......

Been meaning to update for years.
Can only be one.......

just wanted to say what a top thread that has bought back so many happy memories
I have been sitting here grinning like a Cheshire cat all day
if only we had a time machine, 1 MORE NIGHT on it
anyway back to reality & being sensible having to pick up the family for a family meal
and try to act like a responsible parent in the process
where did the last 25 years go

A few later crackers that went under the radar. Well worth a listen if you're not familiar with them.

underrated inner city track

Underrated?!

Who the fook by?!? Gimme their names and addresses and I'll be right round to liven the fookers up!!!

Absolutely class tune. I used to mix that up all the time as it went with loads of big tunes back then
I'm currently back in St Mary's Padd so iPhone only and would love to paste a link to Greg Fentons "Love Infinity" (Gregs Full On Disco Mix) but dunno how to on a phone. Maybe when I get back in....

Nice one bruva!!!!!

It was the Full On Disco Mix I used to play out all the time as it was an easy mix!! The strings on the original silver city mid are immense
That's just made my night but strange looks from other beds on the wards!!!

i said "don't reach out for me with an apology"

hadn't spotted this one although it might be buried somewhere. great piano rift and an all time classic that has stood the test of time.

You could post Alison Limerick 100's of times and it wouldn't be a problem!!!

What was the version that started "gotta keep on pumping it up coz I love it, take me to the Top"..or similar? That was a chunk of a version and I never did track it down but Stacy Tough dropped it after I warmed up the Rock Cafe in Ealing Boulevard one night. Big!

As we approach the end of the day is it time for a final few stompers before the wind down sesh?
Still in St Mary's so can't stick the tunes up but if someone could fill in the blanks...

Afrodizzyact --- a Tenerife 89 HUGE tune in Bananas

Doobie Brothers - Long Train Running (Dancefloor Mx) --- Danny Rampling closed Slippery When Wet with this (do in Curtain Road)

Carly Simon - Why? --- the ultimate see ya later happy ravers tune
