Season Tickets: Is Everyone Renewing? on 20:35 - Mar 20 by marchamjack | Renewed x 2 But will say this, if we go down, myself and Mrs MJ will not be travelling down from Oxon for every game (definitely not midweek v Watford, Huddersfield etc) as the thought of watching us again in the Championship is going to take some getting used to all over again (which is the opposite really when we got back into the Championship from League 1, couldn't wait). It's an expensive day out coming down for the footy and will certainly be having a re-think on financial and time priorities. If we were local we'd be there as usual, less time/expense, and suspect there'll be other exiles facing the same choice. No doubt, Premiership is where it's at (having been up to old Division 1 and back down to old Division 4 and back up over the years). |

Season Tickets: Is Everyone Renewing? on 10:29 - Mar 21 by BLAZE | The best thing about having a season ticket when you live away is it's a good opportunity to see family and friends on a fairly regular basis. That's part of the reason I decided to renew again. You're right about the expense though, fuel alone costs around £100 to Swansea and back. Thankfully I travel down with swanatcarlisle when I do make it but 'life' has taken priority this season. Hoping next year I'll get more games in though |
You're absolutely right about being able to see family (not sure how long my parents will still be around) and friends more regularly than if you had no other reason to go down, and that certainly influences us to renew (even if as I say we certainly won't make every game). Worked out the first season in the Prem it cost us £5-6k in following the Swans doing all home games, most away (overnight stays at some), fuel, hike in ticket prices etc. That made us think about our priorities! | |
| Oh,..Dave, what's occuring? |
