Dale's on loan striker Bobby Grant has returned to his parent club Scunthorpe after they recalled him in rather unusual circimstances.
Dale were travelling down South when the call came in from Scunny recalling the former Accrington man, and Grant was forced to depart the coach to allow his return to Glanford Park.
Grant spent nearly two months at the club, and he was restricted to just six appearances for Dale, mostly through enforced postponements. He scored two goals for the club during this time, one against Swindon on his debut, and another against Tranmere on New Years Day which wrapped up all three points.
