Now we here she has morgage the whole club just to run this season

Sorry tablet playing up as I was saying in the last 4 seasons we have only bought players through players sales
It just looks to me that the club needs somebody to kick it on again and are able to take a few looses during the season .
But where hundreds of millions of pounds have over the last 4 years are beyond me

No, Les Reed is to blame.

"Les Reed: 'Southampton have best pool of midfielders in Premier League'

Southampton executive director of football Les Reed has claimed that the club boasts the best array of midfield options in the Premier League. The Saints have sold the likes of Victor Wanyama, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle already this summer, but have brought in midfield replacements in the shape of Nathan Redmond and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg."We now have the perfect blend of positional strength, experience and dynamic youth in our midfield slots. There will be healthy competition, but also the required depth and robustness for our challenge in the Europa League. I believe as a group we probably have a choice from the best pool of midfield options in the Premier League." Les Reed, June, 2016

Southampton will begin their 2016-17 campaign at home to Watford on August 13.

"The process to appoint a new first team manager has been diligent and meticulous," said Reed. "Claude clearly came out on top of a very impressive shortlist. We have not only got the best man, but the right coaching team to support him. Eric Black has an excellent pedigree as a coach and vast experience domestically and internationally." Les Reed 2016

Well said Clive, I think the problem is we have been spoilt over the years.. If you think of promotion, Rick Lambert, the style of play under Pochettino, finishing 8th 7th & 6th, did we really expect Champions League football next? we need to get real for a second! I personally am not a fan of Puels style of football, only because we have been spoilt over the last 5 or 6 years but its time now to stick together see the season out & who knows we could even win our first trophy in 40 years. COYR!
