That’s about as tenuous as you can get. Why does everything have to be about Liverpool FC? |

Blimey, that’s a tenuous link and a half. I don’t know one Liverpool fan who would give that a second thought. Anyway, Everton finally get some financial stability, new ground and hopefully a better future. Can almost touch that 14th spot from here. |

1. Pundits and Journalists - the vast majority have no idea what goes on outside of the top clubs but feel the need to fill space with utter, unchallenged nonsense. There are far too many of them to list. 2. Social media being swamped from ‘fans’ from other clubs weighing in on every post a club puts out. ‘Michael Keane is a doubt for Saturday’s game’ usually prompts half of Africa to inform us that ‘Bro, Chelsea are the best team in whole of premier’. 3. Going on 15 match losing runs and having the piss taken out of you by ‘fans’ of Liverpool and United who wouldn’t be able to find their way to Anfield and Old Trafford if you dropped them off in an Uber. |

Haha, our very own Jack, Michael Keane has gone for a scan today. There’s many a candle been lit this evening for his speedy recovery. |

To be fair Everton were missing Mykelenko, Branthwaite, Tarkovski and Coleman, an entire back four that were the 4th best defence in the league last season. Other players were out ill/injured but hopefully once Branthwaite is back alongside Tarkovski, they will be a different team. |

You needn’t have worried, as soon as Ashley Young stepped up, it was game over. I don’t think Mc Carthy saved it, it was more just hit straight at him. If he’s not getting sent off, giving away penalties or scoring own goals, he’s missing penalties. Oh and that looked a penalty all night long on him against Dibling near the end. Where was VAR? |

As Nick said in his article, most pubs are friendly to away fans. I go the Chepstow Castle on County Road, there’s always away fans in there and they seem to enjoy it. Thomas Frost is a wetherspoons that away fans seem to go to too. County Road is your best bet though as it’s the easiest route to and from town. Kirkdale station is nearby and will take you to Lime Street, or if you’re staying in town, get off at Moorfields, as there’s some great pubs around there. If you’re in a rush to get back into town, your best bet would be to walk it. Probably takes about 35 minutes, otherwise buses run straight into town. [Post edited 17 Sep 14:01]

As perilous as Everton’s position is, they’ve actually been playing quite well, annual tanking at Spurs aside. Completely dominated Bournemouth for 88 minutes before imploding and then playing very well against an excellent Villa team last Saturday. Reading between the lines of Dyche’s pre match comments though suggest he’s not arsed about this game, which is a different tune to previous cup games, where he’s built up how important they are. I think it will be 2-2 with Saints to win on pens, |

Hoping to go to Eastleigh on Saturday if I can get over the Covid that I’ve had this week. Also considering going to more Sholing games too as it’s an easyish walk from mine. |

From what I can see Football Insider have hired a couple of z list goons with zero, in the know insight and peddle it for clickbait. Everything they post seems to be utter shite. |

Dyche didn’t take over a squad that suited his style, in fact it was quite the opposite with a fair of number of gutless, workshy players eg Demari Grey. He scraped them to stay up in his season, Christ knows how. Last season, as others have said, they’d have finished 12th without the points deductions. This season they’ve started off poorly, for the third season in a row they’ve lost all the games in August. But despite the collapse on Sunday, the squad is much better than last season’s, and despite the negativity in the media, the fans are optimistic about finishing in a decent position especially with a number of players including Branthwaite to come back from injury. When Everton lost to Saints a few years ago in El Sackio, the losers were always going to get Dyche and give themselves a good chance of staying up. |

There are loads of great, progressive cities in the UK. I was in Manchester last weekend and it is brilliant, loads going on, a really vibrant city. Liverpool is the same. Leeds has had a fortune spent on it in recent years as has Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol are also superb before you even start on London. I’ve been here for 24 years and the city has barely made any progress especially in comparison to the cities mentioned. Lack of vision from the council? I don’t know but it’s grim. |

Chelsea are involved and they are allowed to do whatever they want. |

There’s no loan fee and Chelsea are paying all of his wages. There’s an option to buy at the end of the season. So he’s basically on trial for a year. It’s a no lose situation for Everton. Everton have now got four centre forwards, DCL, Beto, Chermeti and Broja. And that’s probably the pecking order. |

It’s disgusting, why the phuck did the other clubs agree to this? They’ve got their way having more CL games meaning more revenue for the greedy scumbags and now they are rigging the draws of the domestic competitions, after binning off the replays in the cup. Fans need to stand up to this. |
