I’ll probably catch it in the morning as I’m not quite yet at the stage of life where I’ll be up at 4am for a piss. It is at least ‘free’ (via Netflix anyway) rather than it being another PPV farce. |

I’d assume (pray) that half of that is performance-based. The bigger issue if we go down is these guys being on long contracts and wages at a level we can’t give them away. Obviously he and Celar have started woefully. As bad as it’s been it is early days and I’m sure had this forum been around people would have written off various players who looked bad to start with and turned out to be good. Saying that I’ve seen nothing to suggest Madsen will turn it around so it’s hope rather than expectation. Celar still some hope but that’s waning quickly. |

If we assume their current value is about £65 then the OP may have a point. |
| Forum Reply | Is this season written off already? at 19:00 9 Nov 2024
No. I’ll be at the next match optimistic until we’re 2-0 down. I’m not expecting much to change but I’m certainly not writing it off yet. A long run now against fairly meh teams (appreciate we’d love to be a meh team). It’s division two. We aren’t dead. Dying but not dead. |

The algorithm bods have calculated it reduces our xG conceded by 0.0006 per game probably. Watching a bit of Watford v Oxford. Oxford limited but they know what they’re doing. Not route one by any means but when there’s not a pass on they’ll play it forward and win their fair share of second balls or get a throw 40 yards on from where they started. We’ll play a pass that isn’t really there and if we’re lucky then smash it forward under pressure and have no one within ten yards of where it lands for that second ball. |

It wasn’t really an evening for warm applause. He should have accepted it and walked off. Appreciate it’s not helpful but anyone spending good money and time to watch that on a Tuesday night is within their rights to say what they want in the immediate aftermath. |

Don’t get me wrong Santos is most likely crap and certainly not a left-back but he was the only senior option to play the position against possibly the best right-footed right winger in the league. Was always asking for trouble and he needed someone ahead of him who can help out for better than Chair can. Cifuentes isn’t perfect by any means but this is first and foremost about the players (via Nourry et al). We’ve recruited woefully in various respects, had some bad luck with a few of the key injuries but unforgivably gambled on the likes of JCS and Colback staying fit for 40 games. You can get away with one of those three. |

Illogically I still fancy us more at home under the lights. Looking at their last few results they’re unpredictable to say the least. 0-3 at home to Cov last game. We tend to start fairly quickly before regressing. Get the first goal and cling on for dear life. |

You made the error of logging in when more than four other people were logging in on a website designed for exactly four people. Giving money to QPR to watch another drab away defeat is somehow one of the great complex issues of modern times. Given you’ve got plenty of points I’d probably just fire an email over and they tend to sort it quickly. |

They could just stop people coming up the stairs at 2:57 probably. Some safety nonsense perhaps stops that. Have some signs up reminding people what’s happening before the game. |

To drown out people stumbling in after eight pints oblivious to a silence. |

Last season was the exception to the rule. Getting 25 games out of him would be about par. Legs made of Quavers. |

He got service at home to Coventry, one of the poorer teams in the league, and was on his heels. If he’s picked then obviously I’ll get behind him and hope it’s a case he scores one and it suddenly all clicks but where I was betting that would be the case earlier in the season I’m not now. |

The way he’s started at Pompey I’d guess not many more. |

Amorim who Liverpool were thought to be after is the odds-on favourite for whatever that’s worth. Meant to be very good. I’m sure they’d ruin him quickly enough but he’d get extremely rich in the process. |

Not even the biggest job in Manchester club management. Probably the best paid in the world if that’s what they mean. |
