| Forum Reply | Tall Paul's injury down to lack of game time. at 16:09 25 Nov 2024
No, we aren't doing what he needs us to do because of RM. Tall Paul needs balls into the box and, if he gets them he'll score goals and his work on the ground is an added bonus. The crosses don't all need to be high because he's a tidy finisher with his feet. He's been criminally wasted by RM. |

Can you imagine the drop in season ticket sales and attendances if he is allowed to continue his vanity project after a season points total of less than 10? He would simply have to go and it would also be insane if he is given time to continue much longer on the current trajectory. He's an unmitigated disaster. |

If this is true it again emphasises how out of touch SR and Dragan are with the realities of football. It is impossible to have a ten year plan simply because, unless the team in question has continual incremental improvements, they will always be coming under extreme pressure not least from their own fans. If the team crashes and burns like we are then any ten year plan goes out the window unless the owners are prepared to play in front of near empty stadiums. Ok, have a plan and if it continues to work stick with it but you can't set out with a ten year plan in these days where owners and managers are judged on results and will not get long if things go south. |

So our manager presiding over a team with one point so far decides, in his wisdom, that he can afford to waste 4 days of training which could have been spent on the training ground. Having said that, he clearly doesn't really have the skills to coach at this level, so probably nothing lost. |

Well not as a deliberate ploy when playing a tall centre forward. However, when we play a front line of midgets for reasons best known to Russ we punt a series of hopeful high crosses into the box. Bonkers! |

It would seem that some are still of the belief that Ankersen had a hand in the rise of Brentford. He was not the brains behind it and as someone else has stated everything he touches goes to rat shit - he is a reverse King Midas figure of the worst kind and we are suffering because he has no clue what he is doing. If Martin takes us down and is still here at the end of the season I would say the chances that he'll keep his job for next season are nil unless he manages to get us a reasonable points tally. The fans simply will not accept giving him another season if this one ends in disaster. |

'They' may stay with RM but one thing is certain - if we go down with a lower points total than Derby there is no way on earth that the fans and more importantly season ticket holders will accept him staying. |

Behave, Bmuff's squad is miles better than ours. If the squads were combined there'd hardly be any of ours in the starting eleven. |

Exactly - we need to play a two man pivot consisting of Big Les and Downes which will make us harder to break down. This should begin to stem the goals conceded and create a secure base to start improving our attacking play ie speeding it up for starters instead of the walking football designed for OAPs with passes going mainly sideways and backwards. In the name of God please can RM set us up properly and encourage some fast entertaining football! |

Not sure why Bmuff would treat him differently to any other side he's started/played against. It's no secret that he has great ability. |

Don't worry, in two years time when they realise he isn't going to make it they'll flog him back to us for 15 million quid. |

A bit daft because they always cheered at half time if they heard we were losing. |

Agree with this and especially points about Strachan. One of RM's biggest problems is that he wants to be best friends with all the players, he wants to be their mates. This is not the way to manage footballers and he would be better off distancing himself from them as much as possible. Yes, he has to have a good working relationship with them but he also needs to avoid letting personal feelings cloud his judgement and his ability to hand out brutal home truths and bollickings where necessary. |
