Premier League title
at 21:47 2 Dec 2024

I don't care who wins it.
More interest on Barry McGuigan winning "The Jungle" as I have a small bet on him at 50/1
As for the EPL, still too early to call it.
Man City will IMHO have a change in form and Liverpool could well see a downturn in form.
Long way to go yet

Suggestions for Coleman
at 23:22 1 Dec 2024

Don't mention the Trust - you will only set him off ...

Agree with all your thoughts though

Also I would add ( unless restricted by regulations ) where there is demand and availability , sell more tickets to away supporters
Also bring back ticket sales on the day, cash purchases ( for those who don't have cards )
and reopen the ticket office for 6 days a week

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the Trust argument ( and I do not claim to have any deep knowledge or opinion on the subject ) what happened in the past cannot number reversed.
Just as the decision by the then owners to sell cannot be reversed.
Both are past events in the club's history and it serves no purpose to rehash the discussions of "If this happened and that happened"
We can only hope that the current ( and future ) owners do not make the same error and pass the club on to highly unsuitable owners

I think your right but ...
The predicament for the club was that those young people who started off in the Family Stand grew up.
Therefore I recall at one time there was a purge on to try and force those without children to move out of the family stand.
Many complained they had become friends with those around them and wanted to stay in the same place with the same group.
Not sure what happened in the end but can understand the issue from both sides.
However as it stands now, definitely need to reinvent the South ( or even a part of it ) as a Family Stand

I believe on the day he made the wrong choices.
However I answered in reply to the post suggesting we had a weak squad due to taking taking the cheap option.
Well ultimately it is up to the manager to refuse to accept those players or manage then to the best of his and their ability.
At the end of the day he didn't give a flying fig at Wembley as he had made his mind up to go.
If he hadn't he certainly did a good impression of someone who had.

The most important word in your post there is "2015"
It is now almost 2025 !!
Most fans have moved on.
Time you took the hint and moved on from 2015 too

Whatever happened on the field was influenced by Cooper's choice of players if you are saying he didn't have the right ones
Also on the day his mind was elsewhere so not exactly a great motivation whatever the players supposed shortcomings?

Prior to us getting promoted to the Premier League there used to be several booths open to sell tickets ( and same for the Ospreys) for walk up fans.
Also away fans could buy tickets at one of the away gates prior to the game.
I believe it all changed when we got relegated and also with Covid having a big effect.
The ticket office is only, open now a few days a week
Sad that

Jason Levien has left us in a stronger position than when he took over?
at 23:53 30 Nov 2024

It isn't a trust thread - just read the OP title
Whether you believe Levien left us in a stronger position or not is the point of discussion.
Whatever the trust did or did not do has nothing to with Levien's statement
Also my point about Petty is relative.
Swansea hardly had a pot to pee in when Petty took over, but ended up with far less when he left and in danger of falling out of the league altogether
We were a Premier League club when Levien and co took over.
If I remember rightly we had finished as the 8th best team in the English tier the season before.
Now we are a bang average Championship side showing little prospect of regaining and more importantly retaining our EPL status
Whilst we may not have massive debt ( although all our family silver has gone) IMHO we are far financially worse off than when Levien and co took over.
Good riddance to them I say

I like to think of myself as polite on here generally.
Never been accused of being boring.
The two don't by necessity go hand in hand.
The trust thing has been done to death by you
I would politely request that you give it a rest as it adds nothing to the quality and enjoyment of this site
You do in fairness raise some good and interesting points on other subjects, but then sadly invariably return to your favourite topics - decrying the trust and defending the recently departed owners

Derby County v Swansea City : Match day thread UPDATED ⚽️
at 22:30 27 Nov 2024

Didn't see the game so can't comment.
Except to say we won.
As for deserving it, well didn't deserve to lose to Burnley or Leeds.
As for a certain poster's comment about not liking the manager, all I can say is Harry Gregg was probably the last manager we had you liked?
Especially as several since have played tipi tapi football ( Martinez and Laudrup spring to mind? )

The largest turnover of managers really began when they took over.
Who will ever forget the yank manager Bradley ?
Ranks about as bad a mistake as the guy from Cradley Heath.
How or why anyone can defend their incompetence beggars belief

Just rewatched their 2nd and 3rd goals.
2nd goal looked like two or three players looked offside at the moment the ball was played forward
3rd goal as the ball was struck to go long to the Leeds player,he looked way offside, even though he wasn't by the time he received the ball.
With VAR one or both those goals would have been ruled out

Is that the same Cullen who scored two and made two for Cymru last week and also scored yesterday?
Perhaps with better players around him he would be even more successful ?

I agree.
Yes he got us into the playoffs twice.
Yet look at Gareth Southgate.
He went close a few times with England yet failed to win anything so doubt too many England fans cried at his departure??

Whatever Keith.
All that should have waited until after Wembley.
Had he motived the team properly that day and got us promoted, he would have been in a much stronger position to discuss new terms.
He let the supporters, the players, staff and himself down with his lack of application that day

When will Russell Martin learn

All teams pass back at times and pass out from the back - even most amateur sides.
We are far better than we were under Martin
We definitely deserved at least a point today

What on earth as how he looks got to do with anything?
And what gives you, me or anyone else the right to judge his looks ?
I feel resentful about the way things went during his tenure, especially the farcical events surrounding Wembley, but would not slur him personally
