He is doing a decent job on the left whilst Paal gets up to speed. You can see he is playing out of position as he favours moving in field and spreading the ball to the right. Much rather have him on the left than Santos who had a mare against Middlesbrough. |

Took that goal brilliantly, he never ceases to amaze me, can frustrate the hell out of me with his final ball, but today takes some skill to score cooly from that range. |

One of the big changes for me is that we are now playing to win games, rather than before the last international break where we were trying not to lose and losing. Confidence and momentum a big plus and Morrison and Cook look solid at the back. Ashby needs to cut out those bizarre long cross field left to right passes could have been costly against a better side tonight. [Post edited 11 Dec 23:30]

Very good 2nd half from Rangers, Field took his chances well. Smyth delivered a great ball in at last for Kolli to head back nicely for Field's first. All round poor first half from both teams but we stepped up and took the game to them. |

I must admit I was a bit concerned when Kolli was the substitute rather than Lloyd, as not sure whether he is a bit too lightweight for the Championship. But it was great to be proved wrong once he got a couple of flicks on from headers he got his confidence up and that opening goal, great anticipation and battling for a lovely finish for the 2nd. Improvements all round from the new boys, Madsen is finding his feet so to speak and getting more involved game by game. Thought Varane was ok today but does have a habit of being over elaborate on the ball with too many opponents around him and turning into trouble, caught out a couple of times. Saito a real diamond worked hard again for the team and Morrison doing well, but still working up his fitness. Morgan still learning his trade some loose passes, but like the way he tries to rectify his mistakes, nearly scored. Ashby had a good 2nd half another one finding his feet in the team. Nardi is excellent but not really had much to do really as Norwich were quite poor on the attack. |

Those first albums from Simple Minds were superb, really right up to Sparkle In The Rain in 1983. New Gold Dream still one of my fave albums and they have always been great live, still are. Wonderful memories of seeing them for the first time at the Lyceum in 1982 when New Gold Dream was released. Agree on going flat, never really a big fan of Don't You Forget About me era, but the run of albums from Empire and Dance to Sparkle are very good. |

I was at that Rainbow gig at Wembley Arena (Empire Pool) in 1980 as a 16 year old headbanger. Richie Blackmore threw a right strop and refused encores and short set etc. so a total riot started the place was trashed, tons of Police arrived, loads of arrests it made national news at the time. |

I agree on Madsen he is improving, nice and tidy on the ball, starting to get things moving forward. Think if we take a step back he was thrown straight into the team without any pre-season with QPR joined on the Friday I think then straight into the Plymouth game and we know that the Championship is a tough league. Not prepared to write him off just yet. |

My point was generally on Madsen is that he is starting in my view to perform better in the team and probably in Championship football generally based on his last 3 games, albeit from a point previously that was a pretty low bar. Remains to be seen if this improvement continues, but I don't want to write him off just yet. |

Sorry if you take it that way Clive was not mean't to be critical, football can be very subjective and we all see things differently, just felt Madsen's improvement in his overall play was there to see yesterday, but take your points on the early booking and the miss. |

I enjoyed this game, this in my opinion was the best I have seen Rangers play over a full 90 minutes this season. In recent years and with fingers crossed when we do well at Watford our season improves. I also got the feeling that the players confidence is a lot higher after the win at Cardiff and you could see that live. Clive, thought Madsen deserved a higher mark, think he had his best game so far for Rangers and is starting to get into a Championship groove at last. |

Agree Varane is getting to grips with Championship and looking good. Also watching from the stands yesterday thought Madsen had a decent game and is also improving, some nice passing. Things are looking up in the midfield, it is still up front where the issues are, but again Celar starting to improve. |
