I only saw the last 30 minutes, apart from Doughty both sides were pretty rotten. That’s a really strange and disappointing move for Isiah Jones, he looked a real prospect when he first turned out at Middlesbrough.
Leeds, Sheffield United, Burnley, Sunderland. They don’t exactly get the heart racing. I suppose we’ll get Ipswich back for fun and frolics next season.
They looked exactly what they are, a promoted side with lots of energy but not enough creativity, and the confidence they built through their promotion is long gone. They were the better side at the start and end of each half so they’re still trying but they hardly made a decent chance without help from us.
