Agreed to buy I believe. Sometimes the loan aspect is just to circumnavigate finance regulations like we did with Dembele, which is fine IMO. |

I agree with this. I do think we should remember the contract situation of the players right now next time we have a pop at a Manning, BOS, or Robinson type. |

Some things to consider… 1. Opinions don’t always come across accurately in a forum. 2. People are naturally tribal. 3. Not everyone on here is acting in good faith. |

That’s true. If Edwards’s and Yang are realistic permanent signings then I’m all for putting minutes into their legs. |

‘Queens Park Rangers youngster Rayan Kolli has been named as the club's most exciting prospect right now, after some impressive recent performances that have seen him become one of Marti Cifuentes' go-to attackers to lead the Hoops away from relegation danger. London-born Kolli is a winger by trade, but has been playing as a centre-forward for the R's in the last few weeks, and has now become a key man for the club despite starting the season largely out-of-favour and not in the first-team squad’ https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/qpr-marti-cifuentes-best-young-player-named-ra |

I appreciate I’m going on a bit but I defo don’t blame Edwards or Yang, who are both great players, and I also trust Marti, but loans just aren’t they right avenue IMO outside of emergency situations or with a view to buy for all the reasons I’ve bored everyone with above. |

He wasn’t when Yang signed. Like I say I’m talking more about the principle than our situation right now. |

That’s like saying I am criticising bus drivers because global warming is a thing. |

Is a Korean player with three games under his belt who we want to save us? Or is a cheesed off Kolli a better fit maybe? |

To be honest I’m arguing for the principle rather than our actual circumstances which aren’t too bad, especially compared to years gone by. Specifically though, Yang is blocking Kolli. Apart from shirt sales I don’t see what he brings that Kolli doesn’t. Why can’t Smyth rotate with him? [Post edited 4 Mar 0:49]

Sorry I was talking specifically about starting loan players instead of our own. I agree the FA Cup thing is a disgrace. |

There aren’t many successful teams out there that didn’t think in decades rather than seasons. |

Marti’s outlook is correct IMO. No criticism of him from me. |

That’s why I said hypothetically. Could also apply it to Fox or whoever. [Post edited 3 Mar 14:22]
